Oh, where do I even begin with the disaster that is Angry Sardar in Anjuna, Goa? If you're looking for a dining experience that makes you question your sanity and curse the day you decided to eat out, this is the place for you!

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere reeked of neglect and indifference. The staff looked like they'd rather be anywhere else but there, with their indifferent attitudes and surly faces. It took them an eternity just to acknowledge our presence and get us seated. But little did we know, that was the least of our worries.

The menu was a mishmash of poorly chosen dishes, all with a disturbing lack of creativity or originality. The so-called "chef's specials" seemed more like a cruel joke than anything else. We decided to go for a few dishes that sounded somewhat palatable, hoping for a sliver of redemption.

To our dismay, the food was nothing short of a culinary nightmare. The "Angry Sardar" himself must have been furious when he served these dishes. The starters arrived cold and tasted as if they'd been microwaved several times over. The once crispy items were now soggy, and the sauces had congealed into unappetizing blobs. The presentation was laughable, as if the kitchen staff had thrown everything on the plate without any thought or care.

As for the main course, I wish I could unsee the horror that was placed in front of us. The portions were minuscule, and the dishes looked like they had been scraped from the bottom of a trash can. The chicken in the curry was overcooked and dry, swimming in a sea of tasteless gravy that had an unpleasant aftertaste. The vegetarian dish, if you could call it that, was a bland and mushy mess of vegetables that appeared to have been boiled to death.

But wait, it gets worse! The service was an absolute disaster. Our orders were mixed up, and we had to wait for what felt like hours for them to correct the mistakes. The staff's utter lack of concern for our dissatisfaction was evident throughout the entire ordeal.

We decided to cut our losses and skip dessert, as we couldn't bear the thought of enduring one more disappointment. To add insult to injury, the bill was way too high for the subpar quality of food and service we received.

In conclusion, I cannot emphasize enough how awful Angry Sardar is. Save your taste buds, your money, and most importantly, your sanity, by staying far, far away from this culinary abomination. Anjuna, Goa, has much better dining options to offer, and Angry Sardar should be avoided...

Summary: In conclusion, Angry Sardar offers a mixed bag of experiences. While the ambiance and Punjabi music add to the charm, the issues with service and food quality detract from the overall dining experience. It's a place you might want to visit if you're feeling adventurous and willing to take a chance, but be prepared for a bit of unpredictability along the way.

Experience:

Stepping into Angry Sardar with my friends after a day of exploring the wonders of Goa felt like a promising end to the day. The restaurant exuded a welcoming atmosphere, with vibrant Punjabi music filling the air, instantly lifting our tired spirits. The decor added to the charm, transporting us to a lively Punjabi dhaba.

However, our excitement was met with a bit of disappointment when we encountered issues with the service. It seemed slightly disorganized, with delays in attending to our needs. Despite this hiccup, we remained hopeful as we delved into uthe menu, eager to sample some of the promised delights.

Our optimism wavered when the first dish arrived—a serving of dal that was unmistakably stale. It was a disappointing start, to say the least. Fortunately, the staff swiftly replaced it, but the experience left us questioning the overall quality of the food being served.

Despite these setbacks, we decided to continue our culinary journey at Angry Sardar, hoping that the rest of the dishes would fare better. And while some dishes managed to impress, the shadow of...

Angry Sardar serves up delightful dishes like Paneer Tikka Masala and Butter Garlic Naan, complemented by a lively vibe and well-chosen music. However, service can be inconsistent during peak hours, and some dishes, like the Butter Paneer, may not meet expectations. Despite this, it's worth a visit for the overall enjoyable experience. Cons: Inconsistent service during peak hours: During our initial visit between 9:30 to 11:30, the staff appeared overwhelmed, resulting in delays in service and responsiveness to customer requests. Pros: 1. Delicious food: The Paneer Tikka Masala and Butter Garlic Naan are standout dishes, boasting exquisite flavors that tantalize the taste buds. 2. Inviting vibe: The restaurant exudes a welcoming atmosphere, with lively music choices that contribute to an enjoyable dining ambiance. 3. Prompt service during off-peak hours: During our second visit around 8:00 pm, the staff efficiently anticipated our needs, ensuring a seamless dining experience. 4. Memorable experience: Despite occasional hiccups, the overall experience is positive, making Angry Sardar a must-visit destination.

Sorely disappointed with the food! A certain YouTube channel waxed eloquent about the food and esp the lassi - and we believed their hmmm meter. Can’t fool us when it comes to lassi - we’ve tasted better. The mutton gravy was missing the punch - though the meat itself was well cooked it didn’t leave us going hmmmmm.. and the stuffed paratha was doughy at the edges. Chicken tangdi was the only redeeming dish, well cooked and flavourful. On another note, the interiors are well done - loved the floor tiles and the restrooms were spotless except for the shaky faucet in the men’s. Our bill for a mutton curry, chicken tangdi, mixed stuffed paratha, 2 tawa parathas and 2 lassis came to a little over ₹2000 - expensive to say the least! Service was prompt but business like. Realised one thing after our meal here - food review channels get preferential service and treatment compared to regular paying customers. Will we go there again? Nah !!

Delicious food but mediocre service! We tried bunch of veggie options and they were delicious! The restaurant has a beautiful decor overall experience is positive. Service leaves a lot to be desired though. Servers and host just don’t care about the guests. They seem to group around the entrance and watch tv or engage in some serious discussion. I noticed one or two folks doing most of the heavy lifting. Also their menu is so difficult to find, it took us 3 steps to get to their menu. It’s so stupid that we found ourself asking the waiters what to order and sometime just simply not going through the pain of using the phone to order. They force you to signup for their WhatsApp service. Ordering food should be frictionless, last thing we wanted to do is be on our phone during dinner “in Goa”
