We had the great pleasure of spending a few days at Cloud9 Sarovar Premiere in Goa, and we can confidently say it was one of the best hotel stays we've ever had. From check-in to check-out, we felt truly cared for and warmly welcomed.
A special mention goes to Pankaj – a person whose kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for guests went far beyond expectations. He made our stay even more memorable – always smiling, helpful, ready to answer any questions, and offer great advice on local attractions. Pankaj is a true ambassador of this hotel and absolutely deserves recognition! We would also like to sincerely thank Njali, Koushik, Shefali, and Sajita – every one of them went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Their kindness and attentiveness truly stood out.
The hotel is brand new, having opened just a few months ago, and you can really feel it – everything is fresh, modern, and thoughtfully designed.
We were kindly offered a free upgrade to a sea-view room, which was an incredibly thoughtful gesture and one we’re very grateful for. The room itself was spacious, modern, and very well-equipped – a comfortable bed, air conditioning, kettle, safe, large balcony, and a beautiful bathroom with high-quality toiletries and towels. And the view from the balcony was simply breathtaking – the ocean, palm trees, and postcard-worthy sunsets. It’s one of those places where you just want to sit back and take it all in.
The hotel’s design is charming – a tasteful seaside theme runs throughout, with great attention to detail, creating a pleasant sense of style and harmony. The interiors are elegant yet cozy – it’s clear that a lot of thought went into creating a unique and inviting atmosphere.
We also enjoyed the hotel’s spa, where we had Ayurvedic treatments that were absolutely fantastic. The staff was professional, the ambiance was relaxing, and the quality of the massages was outstanding – we left feeling totally refreshed.
On the top floor of the hotel, there’s a rooftop bar offering daily promotions and themed events, from happy hours to special nights. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to try it out. However, we did have dinner at the hotel, and it was delicious – both the quality of the food and the level of service were excellent. The dining team took great care of us and made the whole experience really pleasant.
Another major highlight was the complimentary transportation the hotel provided to nearby beaches. We took advantage of this service and visited Palolem, Patnem, and Rajbag beaches – all beautiful and unique in their own way. It was a very convenient perk and made exploring the area so much easier.
Throughout our stay, we were constantly met with warmth and helpfulness from every staff member – everyone was polite, attentive, and genuinely eager to make sure we were comfortable. You can really feel that guests are a priority here.

Read moreWe stayed at the Gateway Goa Palolem, and the experience was really underwhelming across all aspects of the hotel. We booked it under the Taj brand umbrella (IHCL) and I think it goes back to that - as booking it as a Taj property lead to expectations that are at the moment the hotel is struggling to keep up to. Let’s start with the property and rooms - while it’s clean, new and well ventilated that’s I think table stakes. The challenges are in the basics - Air conditioning doesn’t cool at 21/22 degrees - they actually have fan in the room - so the management is aware of this. Hot water is scalding hot esp if you are taking a shower late in the day. There is water leaking in and around the WC (eeeks)… we had a private terrace which has this furniture (see pic) but no cushion etc. So as you can see the basics are missing. Coming to service - the one aspect of the Taj I have always enjoyed. This is a big big miss. It started with the welcome - we had a boom box which they made a big deal about - we pointed out there was nothing in their terms and conditions or any notifications. Finally after making us wait and feel uncertain they relented only coz we refused to pay up till they allow. Then there was the case of “No” - the staff is very comfortable saying no first and then negotiating. This seems to be one area where the management seems to be leading the way (Pritam - F&B manager prime example) The breakfast was another poor experience- live counter orders of eggs and dosa took no less than 30-35 min. The food is really poor. like dosa was cold and soggy. idli wada and accompaniments are simply not good enough (soggy, cold, dry and tasteless). Poha was dry and bland, Khichadi was oily and tastelesss. Omlette without mushrooms had mushrooms in it (see pic) - when asked for ketchup we got a bowl full 😂 - not kidding see pic…. most food came so late it was always cold and this didn’t seem to be on the radar of the staff. There are some redeeming factors…. Veeraj has served us well so far - is prompt and most importantly always smiling! The housekeeping staff also was courteous and prompt.
