Brisa Do Mar — Restaurant in Goa

Whilst the view from the roof is unrivalled, the service and food left a lot to be desired. Upon our arrival there was no recollection of our booking, so we waited for a table to be arranged. We were provided with 3 menus for our table of 8, 1 drink menu and 2 food, when requesting another menu we were provided with 1 additional menu. After a very long wait for somebody to take a drinks order, we were informed that despite having a vast array of beers, wines and spirits on the menu, that in fact only one of each was available, and of course, it was the most expensive option for all categories. After a 10 minute wait the drinks finally arrived. We then waited a further 20 minutes for somebody to take a food order, only to find out that parts of the menu were unable to order, why we were not informed of this at the time of seating I do not know. We placed a food order and after 45 minutes were given some peanuts, a further 15 minutes and we were brought some very lacklustre salads. Eventually the food arrived, and to be truthful, if we hadn’t waited so long we would have left. The food was nowhere near a quality one would expect, or indeed pay the inflated price for. It would also have been nice if the toilets had been kept clean, or indeed checked, as the time sheet shows this clearly isn’t the case. I had a wonderful stay at the fern habitat The rooms were clean, the atmosphere was calm, and every detail felt thoughtfully taken care of. The highlight, however, was the service at the restaurant Brisa Do Mar.

One of the team members, Dipti, truly stood out. Her friendly attitude, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate our needs made every meal feel special. She made us feel welcome and valued throughout our stay.
