One of the most unworthy places we have ever been to. The bald guy at the bar (probably the overconfident owner) made us some worthless cocktails (Moscow Mule & Negroni) that he prepared just by mixing some Rum/Whiskey, Ice, garnished with a slice of lemon and priced at Rs.500 and 600 each. I understand that Anjuna is a touristy place and prices are bound to be high, but the drinks that were served to us were completely disappointing and hopeless considering their pricing.
Now coming to the food, it takes eternity for the food to reach your table after placing the order. While leaving, when we gave the feedback regarding slow service, the owner said it is a self service restaurant (but earlier when asked about it, the waiter had told us that he will get the food to our table). Even if it is a self service restaurant, to come and pick up the food from the counter, the food has to be ready right? We waited for more than an hour for Prawn Hargao (which was the very first order we had placed). We also tried: Mountain Chilli Chicken, Beef in Ginger and Spring Onion, and General Tso's Chicken which were all a bit underwhelming.
If you are planning to have a complete meal, kindly avoid this place as they have a limited menu which lacks options for main course. The ambience here is lovely. They have a Pool Table, PlayStation, and a Dart Board for some fun time.
This place is definitely not value for money as the overall service is poor and the taste/quality of food isn't up to the mark. Do visit only to enjoy their ambience though that's not what you visit...
Read moreI went for dinner at Kung Fook, the aura and staff are very pleasant. The food is as good as it looks! We had most of everything on the menu and I strongly suggest to try their pork dishes! The food was extremely flavourful especially the prawn main course and my favourite cocktail was the Lychee Cosmopolitan 450! For dessert we had Banana Fritters with Vanilla Icecream which sealed our meal perfectly, it has the balance between sweet, crunchy and the softeness of the banana inside! One more thing was the consistency in the food was amazing, despite having so many dishes the quality was straight beautiful as are their interiors! The place is picture worthy and has lively colourful murals and brings a perfect vibe with the cuisine! Thank you...
Read moreChinese food in Goa?? Kung Fook is the place to go... The kids wanted soup and we dropped by here, while the place looked nice from outside, the Chinese food was delicious. The interiors had wall art by Ronny Frost (Instagram @frostronny) which added to the life and spirit of the place. We started off with some Chicken clear soup (an off menu item) and edamame bean dumpling for starters and moved on to the chicken noodles with sweet and sour pork. Needless to say our taste buds enjoyed the flavour orofile whike our tummy enjoyed its filled status.. Almost forgot .... in keeping with the Goan tourist spirit they have a bar too. I had the sesame whiskey sour and the addition of the sesame was...
