Dominick's Sea Food — Restaurant in Goa

Most awful food. We ordered king fish curry and chicken au gratin. King fish curry smelt stale and had a weird flavour. Chicken au gratin was inedible, I was about to puke. The white sauce had lumps and smelt terrible. Chicken was dried and stale and had a strange smell. Hostile manager quick to blame customer for ordering continental food and not liking the taste. Didn't agree to remove the items from the final bill and we didn't get into an argument since we had a baby with us. They run a number of shacks on the left side of Colva beach. I wish I had taken a second to check ratings of this place before placing the order. We need more such honest reviews to shut them down. We paid 3700 for this sham and I came back hungry and upset only to be satiates with the shawarma stalls right outside Colva beach selling each for 80/-. If you're hungry and not have the time to check which is the best shack, just go outside and order from street vendors. Wayyy better and well...

Don't know why this place has such low ratings...my experience at Dominick's has been good. It was closed due to COVID in the past few months but opened recently since 14 Nov 2020. The owner and his staff were quite friendly. Quite of lot of families had come here even on a Tuesday night. We ordered Batter fried calamari and Masala Kingfish fry. Quantity was good. The seafood was fresh and tasty. Only one less star because I found the prices of the beer a bit too high. One pint of kingfisher ultra Max cost us 160 rupees, which is almost double the rate.

The best part was a candle light dinner by the beach with some good bollywood music in the background.

The food was not good. In the name of fish and chips, they served rock hard fries and fried king fish. That is not how fish and chips is made!

The service was extremely slow and we needed to remind the guy 4 times to get each order. Even to get the bill he took 20 mins.

When we disagreed to pay service tax due to the bad service, they started fighting with us and we just paid it off just to close the spat.
