We were looking for a home-style authentic fish thali in the Vagator area and stumbled upon this humble eatery. This is a restaurant visited often by the locals so we also took a shot for the local experience.
We went straight for the KING FISH THALI and it was exquisite. The mackerel gravy was so well done that we couldn’t get our hands off it. The king fish fry was also perfectly cooked but I would’ve preferred a bit more masala in the marination. The ladyfinger sabzi and egg bhurji were a nice little addition. The winner of the thali for me was the prawn sukha. What looked like anchovies tasted very different from it. The light coconut shavings mixed with it were elevating the flavour of the dried prawns to the next level. You also get rice, roti, salad, papad and sol kadhi with it.

Damodar who runs this place is a gem of a person and the staff is really good too. Very spacious. Simple yet elegant ambience. Best part is food. They have couple of big tv screens also. Good parking space.
