Havana Cuba Bar & Restaurant is a really nice restaurant located right on the Palolem beach. It was the first placed we explored while in Palolem. I was looking for a good shisha place in the area and Havana showed up in lots of searches and had really high ratings, so we decided to go there. It is right on the beach and very easy to find. My first impression of the place: casual restaurant with a great view. It was almost empty during lunchtime (mainly because it was low season). We got the best seats in the restaurant, facing the sea. 10/10 for the location and the view. The food: We were pleasantly surprised by the food. It was really good and tasty. Their portions were good too. I highly recommend the grilled chicken and prawns/fish vindaloo (spicyyyyy). The food was so yummy we decided to go there for dinner the next day too. The cocktails: They had a all-day long happy hour. 1+1 free. The cocktails were basic, nothing fancy but they didn’t disappoint. Now the main thing, The Shisha: I had selected this place only for the shisha and I was not at all disappointed. I ordered the Pan salsa on both days and it was really good. It went on easily for over two hours. They had just one waiter called Janak and he was very swift with bringing our food and changing the coal for the shisha.
Havana is not at all a fancy place. It is a very basic and casual place, almost like sitting in a friend’s backyard and enjoying a great sunset. They have sun beds outside on the sand (you can order food there too). At 6pm, they move all the sun beds and set tables outside on the sand too.
I had a great time on both the days. It was great to just laze around, eat, drink, smoke and watch the sunset.
If you’re in Palolem, I highly...

First of all when we landed up we were told the room had been already given to someone else. They they put us up in 2 different rooms and acted as if they were doing us this huge favour. The aunty that runs this place kept asking for extra money, came by late at night again shouting and wanting us to somehow pay more. ||Today morning when we went for our cup of tea watching the awesome morning , there she was again telling us to pack up by 11am. And then again wanting to charge extra 2% for a credit card payment. ||||Apparently the restaurant and bar are run by someone else, so one has to settle that bill separately. ||||All in all not worth dealing with these unprofessional people. There are various neighborhood properties to choose from. Better to select...
