Dropped in for dinner while on the way back from the beach as I saw names of authentic Goan dishes and what a discovery it was. Christmas ambience on Christmas evening with one of the most soft Christmas playlist I have ever heard. Having said this, it goes without saying the food was prepared with utmost care and attention to detail with the freshest of mint chutney I have ever been served with the rava fry fish that came with chips(fries) and very softly marinated salad, not to be left out was the Goan curry that was perfect with rotis we had order for the main course.

Planning to get back for breakfast during our stay to pair dosas with traditional non-veg gravies (going by their homemade masalas assuming it would be heavenly ... It's a combo that the owners are more than enthusiastic to serve during our next visit)

What a fantastic family run business in the peaceful corner of Morjim in Goa. It's strategically located along the Morjim beach road on the other side of the estuary and overlooking it. Day time view is simply wonderful. Kudos to Mr. James for turning his family property and personal dreams into a thriving reality... and a realty.

Now to the crux of the matter. The restaurant is clean, neat, uncluttered and tidy and offers a choice of menu. My wife and I preferred the fish thali, the portions of which were generous and the taste magnificent, personally supervised by Mrs. James. The tab goes easy on your wallet too ! And the location is a safe place to take a walk after dark even in off season.

As an added bonus - Mr. James is a great conversationalist, a goan to the hilt with his heart in Mumbai. If you are in Morjim, he is definitely a person to catch up with and Jash Cafe a place...
