Mayan Beach Club, Goa – Where Luxury Meets the Sea
Nestled along the scenic shores of North Goa, Mayan Beach Club is a place where music, food, ambience, and high-end vibes collide to offer an unforgettable coastal experience. From the moment you step in, the venue sets the tone with its luxurious yet laid-back beachside décor. It’s no surprise this place has quickly become a hotspot for both locals and tourists looking for an elevated night out.
Ambience & Atmosphere The ambience here is nothing short of spectacular. The setting blends rustic coastal charm with modern luxury. As the waves gently brush against the edge of the property, the sea almost becomes a part of the dining experience. It's a rare treat to find a beach club where the sea literally comes up to the restaurant—truly a vibe of its own. Whether you're seated by the bar, on the beach deck, or near the main dance floor, you're never too far from the rhythm of the ocean or the bass of the DJ set.
Speaking of music, the DJ and sound system here are top-notch. The music selection leans into upbeat, high-energy tracks that keep the vibe alive throughout the evening. If you're here to dance, you're in the right place. However, for those looking for a quiet dinner conversation, it might be a touch too loud—but then again, Mayan is more about the experience than just a meal.
Entry & Crowd The entry fee is ₹8000, with ₹6500 redeemable as cover, placing it on the higher end of the spectrum. But this premium pricing helps maintain a "creamy crowd"—well-dressed, well-mannered, and looking to have a classy night out. It definitely filters in a more refined clientele, which adds to the overall charm and safety of the venue.
Food & Drinks The culinary offerings at Mayan Beach Club are both diverse and creative. We experimented with a variety of dishes and were pleasantly surprised. The Fish Fingers were perfectly crisp and flavorful. The Amritsari Fish Taco and Spicy Chicken Taco brought a bold Indian twist to Mexican favorites, packed with spice and zing.
Dimsums were delicately done and a solid choice if you're looking for lighter fare. The Pepperoni Pizza stood out with its generous toppings and surprisingly good portion size—comfort food done right in a beach club setting.
Dessert was a mixed bag: the Tiramisu, while decent, could use some improvement in terms of texture and layering. However, the Chocolate Mud Pie more than made up for it—massive in portion, rich in taste, and downright indulgent.
What truly sets Mayan apart though is the drinks menu. From exotic mocktails to signature cocktails, each drink felt like it had been carefully crafted. Whether you’re sipping something tropical or going for a strong classic, the bar menu here doesn’t disappoint.
Staff & Service The service deserves a special mention—friendly, prompt, and well-versed with the menu. From helping with table recommendations to managing the crowd smoothly, the staff ensured the experience was seamless and enjoyable.
Final Verdict Mayan Beach Club is more than just a beachside hangout—it’s an immersive experience that combines great food, pulsating music, and the raw beauty of the Goan coastline. It may be a little on the pricier side, but the quality of the food, ambience, crowd, and service justifies the cost.

Rating: 3/5 - Satisfied
Arrival Antics and Etiquette Lapses: 2/5 - Unsatisfied Our entrance to Mayan Beach Club was marred by an unfortunate encounter with the check-in staff, particularly a lady with a glaring lack of etiquette. Her off-putting response, coupled with an exorbitant cover charge of 4000 for a couple, created a disheartening beginning to what should have been a celebratory occasion. It's disconcerting to note persistent complaints on Google reviews about her rude demeanor, suggesting a concerning lack of responsiveness from the management.
Aesthetic Marvels with "Legends of the Hidden Temple" Vibes: 4/5 - Very Satisfied Despite the initial setback, Mayan Beach Club manages to redeem itself through its impressive infrastructure and a theme reminiscent of "Legends of the Hidden Temple." The ambiance exudes good vibes, providing a noteworthy backdrop for patrons.
Service Quandaries and Unpleasant Pasta Debacle: 2.5/5 - Satisfied Service at Mayan Beach Club leaves much to be desired, extending from the check-in lady to the captain and servers. The unpleasant incident of being charged extra for veggies in the Pasta, met with resistance when questioned, underscores a lack of attentiveness and respect. While spending is expected, a commensurate level of service is imperative.
Culinary Dilemma: 3.5/5 - Satisfied The culinary offerings at Mayan Beach Club tread the line of above-average, presenting a menu that, while enjoyable, fails to stand out significantly from comparable establishments. The food, while satisfactory, doesn't quite justify the premium one might expect.
Final Verdict and the Lingering Sting: 3/5 - Satisfied Despite Mayan Beach Club's aesthetic allure and thematic charm, the shadow cast by the rude reception lady persists. The regrettable encounter at the entrance overshadows the redeeming qualities, making a repeat visit an unlikely prospect.
In conclusion, Mayan Beach Club in Anjuna, Goa, showcases a vivid contrast between appealing aesthetics and a regrettable customer service experience. While the infrastructure and ambiance score well, service shortcomings, particularly at the entrance, taint the overall impression. Read moreDuring our recent visit to Maya's Club in Anjuna, we were initially captivated by its popularity on social media and the promising ambiance. However, our overall experience left much to be desired.
Starting with the positives, the seafront location of the restaurant was undeniably stunning. The Mayan decor, along with the carefully chosen artifacts and uniforms, created a tasteful and immersive ambiance. Unfortunately, our appreciation for these aspects quickly faded due to several negative factors.
One of the major drawbacks was the exorbitant pricing. The imposition of a cover charge of Rs. 2000/- per adult and Rs. 1000/- per child felt excessive, especially when combined with the inflated prices of food and beverages. We were taken aback by the staggering price of Rs. 225 for a mere 30 ml peg of Feni, which seemed more like daylight robbery than a reasonable charge.
To make matters worse, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations considering the reputation of the place, its prime location, and the high prices. The dishes lacked the finesse and flavor we were anticipating, leaving us disappointed and questioning the value for money. Additionally, the presence of a 10% service charge on top of already exorbitant prices further added to our disillusionment.
Regrettably, the service we encountered during our visit was far from satisfactory. The staff provided terrible service, and the drinks served fell below the expected standard. While the food was passable, it was nothing more than average. Furthermore, we were taken aback when our server asked if he could be tipped, which came across as unprofessional and out of place considering the overall underwhelming experience.
In conclusion, despite the visually appealing seafront location, tasteful Mayan decor, and attractive ambiance, Maya's Club in Anjuna fell short of our expectations. The exorbitant prices, coupled with subpar food and drinks, and disappointing service, overshadowed any positives the establishment had to offer. We hope that our feedback will help the management take necessary steps to improve and provide a more enjoyable experience for...
