Rajs Happy Place Restaurant — Restaurant in Goa

We went today as it was near where we were staying and it was raining. We have an infant and a toddler and it was my husband's birthday also. Had read really nice reviews of the place but was thoroughly disappointed. There were some foreigners having a karaoke party and the waiter told us not to keep our infant on the table as "they" would get offended. When we asked him, he was like he doesn't allow kids on the table, we asked him how we would eat food. Then in some time a lady came and said that the cook is late, therefore we would only have to order drinks until he came, almost making it seem that we had to leave. So we left. Raj Happy Place is a nice little restaurant-cum-bar tucked away from the main road in Calangute behind Hungry Horse. Raj, the owner, is from Nepal and is very friendly and interactive. I was there last night for dinner with a couple of friends of mine from the UK. I had the Cottage pie, Dawn had Chicken Pie and John fancied Alu Mutter and we all were unanimous .. the food was exquisite. We will be back here...

Pathetic behaviour of the owner who handed over the bill to us while we were still planning to order something. Just because they entertain only foreigners.
