Sam's Beach Shack — Restaurant in Goa

THE WORST HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE EVER......NEVER WOULD ADVISE/RECOMMAND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

VERY ARROGANT AND MANNERLESS STAFF....ESPECIALLY THE MANAGER GAGAN (if he has mentioned his correct name). STAFF LACKS BASIC ETIQUETTE. (there is a reason for using upper case for above two lines, so that people would understand the sentiment)

I had been regular customer for this place and had been visiting here with family and friends. But when I had visited this place post covid (almost after 2 years), I was shocked at treatment we got from staff and the manager. This place was crowded, so we had asked the staff to help us to find a place for…. They were least bothered. We got a place to sit (in a tent), a staff member told us that this is place for group of 7-8. We said ok and asked for alternative, but instead of helping he got busy with other customer and completely ignored us. We then asked another staff member if we can occupy the space, he asked us how many of us (count) are to be seated, to which we told him that we are five. He said fine and we occupied the space. After sometime, the manager walked to us when we were looking at the menu. He said that we cannot occupy this space. When we asked the reason, he just said that “you cannot afford it” and if we chose to continue he want the minimum billing of Rs. 3000…. It was so insulting that we confronted him. He was not at all apologetic and just walked away ignoring us. When we thought of getting out, the staff member who has told us to occupy the place came for order. He was very nice and calmed us, so we continued and gave order. The place was so crowded that service was greatly hampered. They were giving plastic glass for wine and drinks (pathetic). Anyways, we made billing of over Rs. 4000 (without dinner) ….. we didn’t order the main course looking at the quality of starters and service. Nevertheless, while leaving we thought that we should have a quick word with manager/supervisor just to share simple feedback about our bad experience considering our past experience. (not exactly in complaining manner, but more from our past experiences when we used to have great time here …..because we wished to come-back here again forgetting our latest bad experience). The manager was so rude beyond our imagination. Forget about open for feedback…. He told us get out and threated to hit us. (Imagine the place, where staff member treats you like you owe them) WE HAVE DECIDED NOT TO VISIT THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN.

While posting this I just realized that there are quite a few people who had same experience like us…. I wished that I won’t have continued here and moved to another shack for...

I recently visited a beach shack that had an incredible vibe, and it was a great place to relax by the sea. The ambiance was perfect, with comfortable seating, a laid-back atmosphere, and stunning beach views. The music, lighting, and overall setup made it an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy the coastal breeze.

The service was excellent—the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our time there. The drinks were served quickly, and the overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. Whether you’re looking to relax with friends or just soak in the beach vibes, this shack offers the perfect setting.

However, the biggest letdown was the food. Despite the fantastic location and service, the taste and quality of the dishes didn’t meet expectations. The flavors felt bland, and some items seemed overcooked or lacking freshness. For a place with such a great atmosphere, I had expected better in terms of food quality.

That being said, if you’re looking for a place with a great beachside ambiance, good drinks, and excellent service, this shack is worth visiting. Just don’t go in with high expectations for the food. It’s an amazing place to chill, but the menu could definitely use some...

Atmosphere is lively, location is great. Price is high.But staff's service needs to improve. Staffs are mainly concerned with bringing new customers to their shack but not responding promptly to already sitting/dining customers. They welcome you,make you sit and disappear, take order- disappear, serve food and disappear. They are not readily available for placing any further order nor for answering dining customers anything about the food. They are in so hurry that they even serve wrong dish to you but for price adjustments for that they are not available. Recently had similar experience. We were welcomed by a waiter( male,short height but long golden coloured hair) Ordered chicken noodles but was served vegetarian noodles. The waiter was not available to report this and when he came and we asked to change it he said it was not possible. Even regarding the price, he was just running away and when chased and charged, only 50 rupees was reduced from actual price though they served wrong food Our whole experience was ruined by that event. Neither we got the food of our choice, nor anyone properly/quickly responded to it, still had to pay high price. So don't fall in this kind of...
