Zumbrai Beach Restaurant — Restaurant in Goa

I rarely write reviews, but having just returned from Goa I felt inclined to write a review for the Zumbrai Beach Shack. My wife and I visited this shack on the recommendation of my in-laws, and they were not wrong. This shack is the best place on Benaulim Beach which we went to, and we visited a total of 5. The owner, Jessica, is engaging, helpful and lovely...she made visiting a pleasure, and was generally great as were all of the staff. The food is superb, and I would recommend the masala omelette and chai for breakfast. The beach there is fantastic anyway, so you can easily pass the days at the shack swimming, and lounging and eating all day which is what we did. She serves fresh fruit....mangoes, coconuts etc....very good! I would also highly recommend the Haldi Red Snapper, and the masala prawns. I really can't agree with some of the other short reviews left regarding the food....Jessica's food is exceptional, and the shack is fantastic...this is also reflected in the fact that you won't see any other fully packed out shacks on this stretch. Slowly becoming one of my fav places in Goa. Beautiful and serene views, excellent sea food, and prompt service. Jessica is invariably attentive and thoughtful. Food - really enjoyed the prawn rava fry, kingfish rava fry. Both were fresh and well made Access by car - put seagulls shack as the destination as for some reason google maps doesn't route cars to Zumbrai efficiently. Zumbrai is around a 50 mtr walk...

Great food. This place is a few minutes walking distance on the beach from Taj Exotica on benaulim beach. Our favourite is Red Snapper cooked in recheado sauce.
