Decent Restaurant — Restaurant in Gujarat

I have been going to this place loyally since over two decades and trust me this is an underrated gem of a place. It is located opposite to the iconic landmark of Town Hall near Ellisbridge in Ahmedabad and is a small place once known for the crowd and it's amazing non-vegetarian food.

Due to the changes in the area, they lost a chunk of their customers but loyal ones still come back for their lip smacking food (I once met an uncle who used to come here when he was 2 years old!)

From their Chicken Shahi Pulao to kebabs to sizzlers and Chinese, every dish tastes exactly the same as old days.

Would highly recommend if you are a Non-Veg lover in Ahmedabad and do not care about ambience (since the ambience and decor is very simple) Go for their amazing food & you would not be...

Worst service.

I ordered food from zomato and all the gravy was out of box, spilled over their polythene bag.

When complained about this to his manager or the call represntator he got offended and said we pack like this only it is the problem of the rider.

I mean where is their common sense? How could you pack a gravy type food in an aluminum foil box which just gets covered with a paper sheet?

You are charging so much money per dish, cant you afford an plastic box for such gravy based food??

I want to clear this that the gravy is the sauce in which the malai tandori...

Happened to chance upon this place while having some time to kill near Ellis Bridge. Didn't realise that I'd be stepping into a quaint lil place with great food and quite a rich history. The ambience isn't much but it has a cozy early 2000s feel to it which might feel nostalgic for some peeps. The dishes they serve explode with flavours and are quite a treat to consume. The service is also commendable. I thoroughly enjoyed the little time that I got to spend here and I'm sure that I'll be visiting this...
