I recently visited a restaurant amidst all the hype surrounding it, but unfortunately, it failed to live up to the expectations. The overall quality of the food was average, leaving much to be desired. While the online ordering system was convenient, it seemed that many people were unfamiliar with it, resulting in a chaotic rush for manual ordering. This lack of an efficient ordering system was a major drawback, especially when compared to other common restaurants.
A few of the dishes I tried were the Raj kachori is must try, Pav bhaji was an average, Panipuri below average better to have at stall, Panner tikka rice was good but felt like ready to eat types taste, Ragda tikki, which turned out to be excessively spicy. To my surprise, the restaurant did not provide a separate sweet chutney, which would have balanced the flavors. It's disheartening when a dish lacks attention to detail, as it can significantly impact the dining experience.
What baffled me even more was the absence of drinking water. Instead, customers were forced to purchase expensive bottled water priced at a steep Rs. 60. This practice felt like an unnecessary burden on our wallets, and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. Fortunately, after voicing my concerns to the manager, they managed to arrange drinking water, but this issue should not have arisen in the first place.
Overall, my experience at the restaurant was just okay. Considering the quality of the food, it seemed that the prices were on the higher side. I expected a more enjoyable dining experience, given the hype surrounding the place, but unfortunately, it fell short.
I hope that the restaurant takes customer feedback seriously and makes improvements where necessary. It's important for them to address issues such as food quality, the ordering process, and the availability of basic amenities like drinking water. While my experience may not represent the norm, it's crucial for potential customers to be aware of the shortcomings they...
Read moreAbsolute tragedy in the name of Haldirams the food joint that was in our impression of how Haldirams would have been. After a 45 min waiting time that was excruciating and unmanaged by the front end employee we were ushered in almost unwillingly to a restaurant packed with the city’s most enthusiastic diners and the most uninterested staff. The self order kiosks were unmanned and the QR scanners on the tables were non functional. Management lapses were visible throughout the floor with staff running hither skither like headless chickens. The overpriced choley bhature were flavorless at the least. Chole were cold, surprisingly bhature were hot. Raj kachoris were stale, samosas were unavailable and so were the mocktails. The nawabi thali was served with 1/4th of a papad and fiercely defended by the floor supervisor who was constantly in touch with the aforementioned front end executive who didnt want us to enter the restaurant in the first place. The jalebis were freshly made upon order but due to lapse of the server staff reached the table almost 45 mins later and seemed stale. The rabdi was good but the absolute lack of accountability of the restaurant in terms of the product experience as well as service standards was appalling to us as customers who have been looking up to the brand and as people who aspire as Indians that brands like Haldirams stand to the test of not just satiating the market but also set an example for domestic and international companies to learn ti respect one of the largest consumer markets globally with some level of dignity and operational efficiency. Deeply concerned and disappointed with...
Read moreWriting this after my 3rd visit, was excited when they opened, but gradually things washed down. and I can feel the same with the vanishing crowd slowly, my first impression was good with ambiance & service, food the menu is convenient, choices are put up is easy to pick manner, Punjabi items are okay as one usually didn't get these in Surat, so yes you visit them for first time out of curiosity.
But second time it's all on the restaurant to fetch you there, which I couldn't find for myself, my second visit I bought a softy which was awful, some vanaspati kind of feeling the chocolate dip was yuk not at all acceptable, but again it was just a quick visit due to proximity, give you a simple example if you check my Gpay, you will find more than 100 entries of a kulfi buying from nearby SHIVSHAKTI that's the power of taste which makes you go somewhere again and again, same is the case of Mcdonald softy to me
My third visit, I bought RAJMA CHAWAL, first they put jeera rice in it, come on bhai rajma chawal you should put plain rice, that kind of small details is expected from a big brand like haldirams not any makeshift arrangement, anyways rajma I could even count the pieces such was the case, taste was usual, nothing special, I tried RAJ KACHORI, again one time kinda thing.
Honestly, they aren't going anywhere, they are a public ltd company, they can afford to run the place, Surtis aren't going anywhere as we don't have many choices so "three is no alternative" will keep forcing us going back once in a while, but the magic is...
