I visit Ahmedabad for work, so checking in at the end of the day demands a relaxing experience!BUT...
My experience at the supposedly reputed 4* chain of hotels was extremely disgusting, disrespectful and below standards.
Positive; Only one staff seemed to have the right courtesy and sensibility of hospitality industry - the girl at the reception) The room and washrooms= A*
Terribly negative: 1.Ac is centralised and takes nearly 20 to 30 mins to cool just before u suffocate completely. I have been to other hotels too, but I think these need to fix the cooling system here.
I ordered food and surprisingly I received half soda in the bottle with fresh lime juice in a glass. I was too tired and realised after opening the bottle that it was little less than half. However, I thought maybe this hotel sent just enough soda for the length of the glass. On second thoughts what if the bottle was contaminated, I dialled the room service and realised the phone was disconnected.
In my mind as a solo lady traveller, SAFETY was the concern. "There is no latch inside. Anyone who has a key can open a double lock. If there is a suspicious activity, whom shd I call? The police? The reception is not reachable! I googled the reception number and called from my phone, asking lady staff to accompany as it was 11.10 pm."
Technician said "Ma'am instrument kharab hai" and the guy brought me another instrument from another room.
Meanwhile I asked the lady for room slippers and I was told for single occupancy rooms, as hotel policy we don't provide room slippers. I was shocked. I requested that I do need one.
In sometime I get a call from the kind lady that on special request they were obliging and sent me a pair of slippers. A buffoon brings me a pair neatly tucked into eachother. I called him buffoon because he doesn't know how to cheat... When I checked the sole of the slippers as habit, coz some slippers slip in bathroom, I saw curry stains and then I noticed soiled white linen of the slippers. USED chappals????? This is utterly DISRESPECTFUL to a guest who stays at your hotel!
You want to give used chappals from discarded laundry, half drunk soda?? Better don't treat the guest like a beggar! We have a reputation of our own. You have lost yours by stopping below standards.
Or please spend time in training your staff! Well the manager Singh wasn't there when I checked out at 9.40 am. Evidently the destiny of the hotel will be- nincompoops rule and direct the hotel into nowhere.
It really was an unforgiving experience. I will post the same on twitter soon. Check the...
Read moreI’m a person who frequently stays at this hotel, and while I’ve always had a good experience with the staff here, I feel it’s important to highlight an ongoing issue with one individual — Mr. Dhananjay Das, who handles the food and beverages at the buffet. On 14th May 2025, upon checkin late night , I had ordered a big bowl of Paneer Bhurjee via in-room dining and was served generously by the chef. The next day, I went to the buffet and requested the same dish. A smaller portion was given at first, which I was okay with, but when I politely asked for a little more (as I had received the night before), Mr. Dhananjay unnecessarily stepped in, interrupted the conversation with the chef, and very rudely claimed that I was exceeding the limit — which was not true. Not only that, but he also told me not to eat from the container provided (which I had no issue with), and instead made a scene about how it “doesn’t look good” and that he would give me a plate — which felt completely unnecessary and disrespectful. He continued to argue with me over something so small, making the whole experience very uncomfortable.Thankfully, Chef Deepak was understanding and polite, and provided the requested portion without hesitation. I’ve noticed that other staff members are always respectful and accommodating, but this isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue with Mr. Dhananjay regarding food quantity and tone of communication. This kind of behavior makes guest feel unwelcome, especially when we’re just trying to have a peaceful meal . I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because professionalism and basic respect should be consistent across the...
