Hotel Shukan Gujarati Thali — Restaurant in Gujarat

I recently visited Sukan Restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience from start to finish. The food was lackluster, with many of the dishes being either too bland or overcooked. The promised variety in the thali was very underwhelming, and the entire meal felt like a disappointment.

To make matters worse, there was a group of people watching a match at a very loud volume, making it impossible to enjoy our meal in peace. Despite requesting the staff to ask them to lower the volume, nothing was done. In fact, the owner himself came over, blamed us for the disturbance, and started shouting at us instead of addressing the situation. This kind of behavior was completely unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome.

The service was slow and inattentive, and the overall ambiance didn't make up for the lack of quality in both food and customer service. For the price we paid, we expected much more.

Amazing Thali if you are looking for a Gujarati thali, this is one of best place to visit I loved their bajra rotla which was loaded with ghee and jaggery. They serve 4 different types of bhaji, roti, 2 types of dal, rice with papad everything is unlimited. Even the staff and the owner is good and friendly, the owner is basically from Mumbai . They even serve pure chaas the owner shared he has around 120 buffaloes and the chaas are made up of pure milk and you won't find the same quality of chaas in the entire city. I too tried their chaas it was thick and pure as he said.

The best part is the AamRas, it’s a must have dessert during the summers in Gujarat be it weddings or any other functions their AamRas was yumm. What more could you expect. A huge unlimited Gujarati thali at just Rs 150/- its worth the money even if you are alone you won't feel like you are eating at a restaurant felt like home.
