During my recent visit to Surat, I had the chance to dine at Farmaish Restaurant, located conveniently opposite the Surat Railway Station. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance struck a perfect balance between cozy and contemporary, with courteous staff making the experience even more welcoming.
What truly stood out was the food. As someone who appreciates well-spiced, hearty meals, I was thoroughly impressed. I started with the Chicken Manchow Soup, which was perfectly balanced in flavor and set the tone for the evening. The Tandoori Platter was a crowd-pleaser—tender, smoky, and generously portioned. For mains, the Butter Chicken and Murgh Rara were exceptional—rich, creamy, and cooked just right. Paired with garlic naan and jeera rice, the meal was deeply satisfying.
Though the place was bustling, service remained prompt and attentive. The menu is quite extensive, but what I loved most was the consistency in taste and portion size.
If you're in Surat and craving robust North Indian or Mughlai cuisine, Farmaish is a must-visit. I’d definitely go back—and next time, I might just try their sizzlers, which I saw coming out of the kitchen looking...
Read moreCame across this restaurant while leaving Surat in a hurry. They have a seating space inside for dine in and separate space for quick bites & refreshments. The entire space is well maintained, clean and interior is beautiful. They have a live counter for the quick bite section where you can see your order being prepared. I had a train to catch so ordered a veg burger and a non veg burger to go.
Veg Burger taste was okay (can experiment a bit with the spices), but the non veg burger was yummy 🤤 the patty was well cooked and had such a delicious flavour👌. Both burgers are served with potato wedges. The staff is polite with good service. The lady at the reception is kind and helpful 🙂 Will try to dine in and taste other non veg dishes next time....
Read moreI was searching for decent place outside Surat Station to have iftar during Ramzan. So I went to Farmaish which looked good.
I wanted to have chicken kabab, I check the take away menu first, I decided to order Mutton Seekh Kabab with tandoori roti.
While I was waiting for the order I could see the ambience well lit and clean. It was hygienic and the staff is super polite.
Hospitality at its best!
My seekh kabab came and looking at it, it was mouth watering. Amazing taste and cooked to perfection. It was authentic. There are very few places in Gujarat where good non veg food is served.
After kababs I ordered Chicken Moghlai Biryani parcel for my saheri. I tasted good even when I had it next day in the...
