This has been an old favourite for some 'Punchy’ food...... We went here because we were craving snacky food. Such a sad and disappointing experience..... So listless, so disinterested and lethargic entrance. As soon as we climbed down those stairs we were non(greeted) with the most disinterested looking and behaving staff....they just gaped at us without even a greeting or a smile. Right from the cashier and servers all looking as if they have been forced to wait on people there! It was depressing..... We ordered Pani puri..... Dahi sev Puri and chole bhatura and jalebi. The pani puri was stale....the puris were old and chewy...... The dahi sev puri was such a disappointment....no flavour...no masala and a Sorry excuse of a garnish.... The chole bhature were decent.....and were served with two small silly pieces of potato I wonder why.???? A little pickle would have been preferred instead. The saving grace were the jalebis. We have crossed this restaurant off our list as we have had a horrible experience with the Sama outlet as well.... Insipid food I can understand but a total lack of interest and bored faces passing off as waiters and servers in today' age is a real put off....... Please understand you are an iconic restaurant........Please dear management bring some dignity back to...
Read moreI have been there a couple of times. The place is in the basement of a building and is like a bunker. So you will feel isolated from the outside world and that is good coz you go out for food so that you can spend time with your family without much disturbances.
Cons: 1 There is no option for getting your curries and dishes half. So in case, you are the only non-vegetarian in your group, then either you ll have to burst your tummy by having the whole dish alone or you will have to eat vegetarian with your other vegetarian members. 2 The only Indian restaurant I have ever seen where you wont find any sort of SOUP. 3 The starters are not actually starters. They serve aloo chaat etc as starters. I mean who eats Aaloo chaat as a starter? 4 Once I ordered daal makhni and I could not smell or taste makkhan in that.
Pros: 1 The staff is well behaved and the service is fast. 2 The place although is very small, but is nicely arranged so that you won't feel suffocated or overcrowded even if all the tables are full. 3 Gravy dishes are a must mention here. One of the best you can have. 4 Main course dishes are neither very spicy nor very sweet. They cook exactly as you...
