A Missed Opportunity for Authentic Culinary Excellence
Nini’s Kitchen, with its promise of vibrant, globally-inspired cuisine, seemed like a promising destination. Unfortunately, the experience fell short, marred by lackluster flavors, rushed service, and a disregard for dining flow.
Despite visiting on a weekday, we encountered an unwelcome 30-minute wait. Once seated, the atmosphere was less than inviting; tables were packed so closely that it felt claustrophobic. The only redeeming element of the ambiance was the statement wall adorned with vivid murals, which provided a welcome splash of artistry in an otherwise cramped setting.
The meal began with the Cantonese soup, which arrived promptly but lacked depth. The broth tasted like a watered-down version of hot and sour soup, dominated by sharp garlic notes that overshadowed any nuanced umami flavors. The vegetables were limp and uninspired, failing to add texture or vibrancy.
Unfortunately, the service detracted further from the experience. Before we could finish the soup, the Thai green curry was brought to the table, leaving us juggling plates. To make matters worse, dessert was delivered alongside the main course, completely disrupting the meal’s pacing. This hurried approach made the experience feel rushed and poorly orchestrated, as though the staff were more focused on clearing the table than ensuring a satisfying dining experience.
The Thai green curry, while visually appealing with its vibrant green hue, was unbalanced in flavor. The basil was overwhelming, masking the characteristic notes of lemongrass, galangal, and kaffir lime that give this dish its delicate complexity. The creamy consistency was promising, but the lack of nuanced spice layering left the dish feeling flat and one-dimensional.
The strawberry tres leches cake was the most disappointing element of the meal. Rather than the rich, milk-soaked dessert one might expect, it was merely a dry strawberry gateaux floating in a thin, overly sweet strawberry-flavored condensed milk. The dessert lacked the velvety texture and flavor integration that defines a good tres leches, leaving it cloying and uninspired.
At Rs. 1260 for three dishes—a soup, main, and dessert—the value for money was questionable. While the murals and aesthetic elements might appeal to casual diners, the rushed service, lack of authenticity, and poor execution in the dishes make it difficult to recommend Nini’s Kitchen to anyone seeking a fulfilling...
Read moreFinally! We visited this much talked place and it was as expected. We went on Sunday afternoon for lunch. And we reached at around 2.00 and there was a waiting for about half an hour. But it was worth waiting.
Ambience: It's very refreshing, starting from entry to table and chairs and furnishing. Wall decor and wall art. Everything is so just perfect and refreshing.
Menu: well crafted menu ranging from Indian to continental, Italian to Mexican. Mocktails are also well prepared. A must try if you are a mocktails lover.
Taste: here I was little disappointed, and have one star less. Paneer Shaverma which is their signature prep, disappointed me utterly. Overload of uncooked paneer and it was extremely heavy. Also paneer subzi was missing the juice. Moreover due to heavy A/C the subzi lost its charm immediately. Some alternate arrangements to the subzi warm would have been icing on the cake.
Service: excellent service with a smile. The staff is verywell informed about products and can suggest without any bias. You can 100% rely on them for your confusion. Makes you feel comfortable and always wears a smile.
Pricing: ₹₹₹ moderately priced and well crafted smart priced menu. If you order sidings and items which is fancy than you will shoot up your bill. Else pure dinner is moderate.
Overall: highly satisfying and I would strongly recommend to the food lover. Though there are league of restaurants who serves equally or better food. But this has created it's own class.
Verdict: a must visit place with family. As all the age group will enjoy being...
Read moreI recently visited this branch of Nini’s Kitchen, and while the overall experience had its highlights, the food unfortunately didn’t quite meet my expectations — especially when compared to another science city branch, I dined at about six months ago.
Let’s start with the positives. The ambience was spot on — modern, clean, and welcoming. Whether you’re dining with friends, family, or even solo, the setting creates a comfortable atmosphere that’s hard not to appreciate. On top of that, the staff were courteous, attentive, and professional. Service was prompt without feeling rushed, and every interaction was friendly and respectful. It’s clear the team is well-trained and cares about customer satisfaction.
However, the food was where the experience fell short. While the menu was extensive and covered a wide variety of cuisines, the actual taste didn’t quite live up to the promise. Dishes that should have been flavorful and distinctive ended up feeling a bit bland and uninspired. Compared to a similar science city chain I visited half a year ago — which delivered bolder flavors and better execution — this meal felt underwhelming. Presentation was fine, but the taste just didn’t leave a lasting impression.
Overall, it’s a place I might consider revisiting for the service and atmosphere, but not my top pick when it comes to food — especially when I know there are better options in the...
