I recently visited Pepito, a restaurant with an appealing menu and a vibrant atmosphere. However, my dining experience left much to be desired due to several issues that I encountered.
The service at Pepito was incredibly slow. Once we were seated, we had to wait even longer for our server to take our order. This sluggish pace persisted throughout our meal, turning what should have been a relaxing dining experience into a test of patience.
The staff at Pepito seemed untrained and disorganized. Our server appeared confused. Furthermore, they seemed to struggle with managing multiple tables, which likely contributed to the slow service. This lack of training resulted in a chaotic dining environment that left us feeling frustrated.
During our meal, there was a mix-up with our order. We received dishes that we didn't request, while other items we had ordered never arrived. This confusion could be attributed to the staff's lack of training or miscommunication in the kitchen, but either way, it made for a disappointing dining experience. Despite pointing out the mistake, the correction process was slow and cumbersome.
One of the most shocking aspects of our visit was the pricing. We were charged Rs 175 for a can of Coke with an MRP (Maximum Retail Price) of Rs 40. This markup seemed excessive and unjustifiable. While I understand that restaurants often have a markup to cover overhead costs, this level of price inflation felt unreasonable and exploitative.
Overall, my experience at Pepito was not enjoyable. The slow service, untrained staff, order mix-ups, and exorbitant pricing overshadowed any positive aspects the restaurant might have. While the menu offered a good variety of dishes, the issues mentioned above made it difficult to appreciate the food. I hope that Pepito addresses these problems by investing in better staff training, improving service efficiency, and reconsidering their pricing strategy. Until then, I would be hesitant to recommend...

I visited Pepito Cafe last Sunday 15/6 around 10 ish, and I was honestly left frustrated and disappointed.
To begin with, the waiting area was poorly maintained, uncomfortable, and gave a very bad first impression. The bathrooms were also not clean, which raised some serious concerns about hygiene. What made matters worse was the lack of welcoming hosts. There was no one to greet us, and it felt like we were an afterthought the moment we walked in.
The waiting time was absurdly long, with no sense of urgency from the staff. Even though valet service was advertised, it was practically unavailable, and the staff seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than helping guests.
As for the food, it was ridiculously overpriced for the quality. I paid around 6k INR for the order, and for that amount, the food should have been exceptional. We tried a vast number of items like Filo Cups, Stuffed Mushrooms, Truffle Cheese Rounds, Paneer Bao, Neapolitan Mushroom Pizza, Asian Buddha Bowl, Mango Smoothie, Dr Jamun, and Rose Fizz—everything tasted far too ordinary for the price. The only standout was the Belgian Warm Dark Chocolate Mousse with cold coffee ice cream, which was excellent, but that’s where the positives ended. I have added the pics too for some.
Service was also a mess. Our food was served in no particular order—starters, mains, and desserts came out haphazardly. When we asked for the usual order of service, we were told, "This is how it will be here," and nothing was done to accommodate us. To top it all off, the waiter cleaned our table with a wet wipe—one that we had discarded to wipe our hands. Watching that was beyond disgusting.
Overall, I can’t recommend Pepito Cafe to anyone. The combination of overpriced, average food, poor hygiene, and subpar service makes it a place I will definitely not return to and...
Read moreI visited Pepito on 5th August to celebrate my 25th birthday — I was super excited after hearing so much about the place, but honestly, the experience turned out to be quite disappointing.
First, I was waiting for two of my friends who were delayed due to the rain. Meanwhile, the captain gave me disgusted looks and even remarked, “We have other customers to serve.” I mean — seriously? I wasn’t there for anything free, and such a rude attitude right at the start felt completely uncalled for.
Second, I had two iPhones — one was already low on battery, so I requested to charge it and they agreed. Later, when I asked to charge the second one, I was refused without any valid reason. Imagine if I had just one phone and it was dead — how am I even supposed to pay the bill? Basic customer service should include simple courtesies like this.
Now coming to the food — nothing special at all. Honestly, overhyped and overpriced. For a place that markets itself so heavily, the taste was pretty underwhelming.
Then came the most upsetting part — during the cake-cutting moment, another group was cheering and celebrating nearby. I felt so touched that I requested the manager to share a piece of cake with them, as a kind gesture. To my surprise, he straight-up refused, asking “Do you know them?” I mean — isn’t this the same place that preaches “connections” and “vibes” all over social media? But clearly, they don’t practice what they preach.
Only good thing? The ambience during daylight. At night, the lighting makes it hard to even click decent photos.
To sum it up: Looks good on Instagram, but the attitude, service, and experience were extremely disappointing. Definitely not returning or...
