SHREE KISMAT KATHIYAWADI GROUP — Restaurant in Gujarat

We recently visited Kismat Kathiyawadi with high expectations, but unfortunately, the entire experience was extremely disappointing.

First of all, the food quality was absolutely tasteless and below average. We ordered both Kathiyawadi and Punjabi unlimited meals for 4 people — 3 wanted Punjabi and 1 wanted Kathiyawadi — but to our surprise, the staff rudely told us that only one type of unlimited meal can be served per group, either all Kathiyawadi or all Punjabi. What kind of logic is that? If we’re paying individually, we should have the freedom to choose what we want to eat.

Secondly, the service was extremely poor — staff were rude, disinterested, and completely unprofessional. There was no hospitality or basic courtesy, and it felt like we were being forced to eat whatever they decided.

To top it off, the overall atmosphere and cleanliness were not up to the mark either. The plates weren’t clean, and water wasn’t even served unless we asked multiple times.

Totally not worth the price or hype. We left the place unsatisfied and frustrated. Definitely not recommending this restaurant to anyone looking for good food and respectful service.

💢 Horrible & Misleading Experience — Would Give Negative Rating if Possible! 💢I called the restaurant before visiting to confirm if there was any waiting. They confidently said, “No waiting, please come.” But when we arrived, the reality was completely different — there was no à la carte menu at all, only a so-called ₹200 fixed thali that turned out to be the worst food experience ever!🍽️ The food was cold, tasteless, and unhygienic. It didn’t even look fresh or properly cooked. Honestly, it wasn’t worth even ₹50, forget ₹200! We were a group of 12 people, and every single one of us regretted coming here. Total disappointment.🤢 The restaurant was filthy — unclean plates, sticky tables, and insects everywhere! Since the place is open from all sides, flies and bugs kept landing on our food. It was disgusting and completely ruined our meal.📞 What made me even angrier was the dishonesty on the phone. They never mentioned the fixed thali system and completely misled customers just to get them in. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent experience at your restaurant. During my visit, I was shocked to find a small cockroach in the dal that was served. In addition, there were cockroaches crawling on the wall near our table, which raises very serious concerns about hygiene and food safety.

When I reported this issue, the manager not only failed to address it properly but also behaved in an unacceptable manner. Instead of acknowledging the problem, he picked up the cockroach with his hand, rubbed it away before I could take a photo, and insisted it was just “dhania” (coriander). Furthermore, his behavior towards us was rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. Such conduct is deeply concerning and reflects poorly on your establishment.

I strongly urge you to take immediate corrective action to improve hygiene standards and ensure your staff, particularly the manager, are trained to treat customers respectfully and handle complaints responsibly. Until these issues are resolved, this restaurant poses a risk to customer health and safety.
