A visit to this place seem to be tantalising to the taste buds. However was a bit taken aback when I heard their preparations are completely without onion and garlic.
The food was just about average the dosas were crisp and nice however on the taste of the sambar and chutney it was a let down.
Serving sambar with a mini jug was a good idea but chutney with a jug was a disappointment. It spills for sure.
I would rate the staff a 4/5 for being pretty warm however in one of the cars the person taking the order could not explain what was the dish exactly however he was honest enough to call the owner to explain it. What I fail to understand is how can you serve or even thinki of having a South Indian cuisine without having onion and garlic and that too name it on Kerala whereas this is predominantly a dish of dosa and idlis and wadas which are from TN / AP.
Definitely a long way to go for them if they want any south indian to vouch for them. But given the kind of audience they cater to may be this is the best they expect from a resto which claims to serve authentic or rather fusion South Indian cuisine.
Guys you need to seriously work on the taste of your food. And next time please be cautious of choosing what to name a dish. Looked to me like the names were just off the khau galis of Mumbai into their menu. After having eaten at most of the khau galis in Mumbai even that...
Read moreA highly overrated and over hyped place. Fancy names for dishes don't change the fact that they are basically dosas with a mish mash of fillings and toppings. An example - their much touted south nachos are nothing but crisp paper dosa triangles with slivers of cheese roasted on the tawa. It is a mockery of the traditional dosa and leaves you wondering if you really wanted to experience this travesty of cuisine. If you tasted one of their stuffed dosas, you've tasted them all. Just the same stuffing with some garnishing of cheese or paneer. Stay away if you are a connoisseur of authentic south indian food. By the way, there is nothing Keralite about the place. Which...
Read moreLoved it. South Indian food is served here. There are quite a few twists to the traditional dosas. There are dry dosas with a twist and then there are liquid dosas with a twist. I can go ahead describe but that would spoil the fun. Go ahead and visit the place but talk to the owner. He is a very cordial guy who would suggest things. Take his suggestion cause the journey to satisfying hunger is important, we all know the destination. We went for light snack but everybody ate so much because of the taste that we've decided to go back with our hunger...
