OK!!!
Finally after a 13 year hiatus i visited a Tomato's, at Chandkheda for the 1st time. My earlier Tomato's outings at C G road have been botched up but not as this one ever before.
I yet mustered the courage to eventually dine out at this one as it had been long i had gone continental on my choices and thought it would fare well but unfortunately, my previous experiences were reinforced stronger when all of it summed up to be a fiasco.
As we were a bunch of beloveds who have every kinda food preference, we had ordered a variety of dishes including "indian" food too. Caesar Salad Enchiladas Grilled exotic veggies and cottage cheese in exotic Bell Pepper Sauce. Veg. Hyderabadi Biryani Paneer Tikka Methi Garlic Masala Cheese Naan Thums Up (if dat is what they really served as i did not see the bottle but just the glass with a drink dat looked like Thums Up)
Beginning with the Caesar Salad, i must say it was not upto expectation. Traditionally, Caesar salad has eggs (raw egg yolks) as a dressing but as it was listed as a vegetarian dish, i didn't mind them dressing it up with veg mayonnaise. The recipe was flawed though, with iceberg replacing Romainne lettuce and croutons being less than a centimetre big n my gut feeling is that they were fried rather baked, the dijon mustard was definitely missing and so was the parmesano reggiano along with the drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and black pepper. But to my surprise, there were a few new additions to it, Bell peppers (Red, Yellow & green) & green olives!!! Hurray!!! What a concoction of ingredients to actually ruin such a great simple recipe. Chef Cardini Caesar, the person who invented the Caesar salad, would never have thought that such a basic recipe could be so easily turned disappointing. The Salad seemed to be premade and not fresh as the crunch in the iceberg was missing and the croutons had gone soggy. I would say, if not tasty, it was only as much edible so as to taste. If the Chef is reading this, kindly note dat the Croutons are supposed to be roughly torn and garlic flavored and oven tossed in salt n olive oil rather dump crushed garlic in the salad. A Salad is something that's refreshingly FRESH and crunchy and this Salad was nowhere near to it. 1outa 5 just for the hard work.
Enchiladas
Veg and beans stuffed enchiladas had unevenly cut veggies, spicy chilly sauce and topped with cheese. The spice was too much. The beans were dry (a definite sign that the beans were either canned and drained lomg back or they were precooked long before because they were powdery to taste rather mushy and smooth as they r supposed to be when they are freshly cooked. Just a 2 outa 5 the 2 goes for effort and for being palatable althought for dat high price they r well not worth it.
Grilled exotic veggies and cottage cheese in exotic Bell Pepper Sauce.
Grilled exotic veggies and cottage cheese in exotic Bell Pepper Sauce was completely not continental. Wait, Did they have a Spice theme or competition amongst the sous chefs in the kitchen to see who gets the highest score on spice!!! Seems by the name of the dish that it would be full of different tastes sans Spicy but it was totally the opposite. It had the broccoli, baby corn, all the three bell peppers and the cottage cheese too. But the sauce was totally not a bell pepper sauce as it reeked only of chilli and tomato whereas it should have been a red bell pepper based sauce sans the spicyness. The veggies and the cottage cheese were not grilled either. I dunno why they called this dish "grilled" coz one would order thinking he would be getting the grilled charred veggies n cottage cheese that wud be an addition to the taste buds as something reminiscent of a barbeque, but unfortunately the dish seemed to be like a routine mix exotic veg paneer dish from any other indian "punjabi" restaurant. 0 outa 5, dat 0 is specifically because the dish was totally not what it was described to be in the menu and because it was super spicy.

The staff is not at all responsive even if I'm asking the name of manager again and again still the servers won't answer back. I had to get up from my seat just to catch the fleeing manager named "Mr. SUNIL", upon asking him about our order he claimed that your order is ready and it will be with you in a while and the manger brings out cold dishes which proves it was served after ample of time that it was made. Servers are worst here they won't even bother to reply you and the server did not even told us his name and also never bothered to apologise to us, negative rating to this branch and please avoid going to this...
