Udipi's experience was great. It's difficult to locate it from the road direct as it's inside a building's basement thus suitable and comfortable to bring grand parents here as they don't have to climb. Sitting arrangement was quite enough to accommodate around 100-140 person at a time. We have ordered Chhole-kulche, Dosa, Uttapam, Idli sambhr and Masala Biriyani. The food looks great. The taste was satisfactory. UDIPI is a multi cuisine restaurant. The restaurant was clean and calm. There was sufficient illumination. Hand washing facility is there. During weekends, a premium rush of people is there, so be early to avoid waiting. The staff was also polite and humble. Overall 4/5. The only thing i don't like is that it's vicinity. Udipi is definitely the most genuine and old restaurants in Vadodara for south Indian dishes. The regular Idli, vada, dosa, uttapam, coffee etc. are anytime favorites. If looking for these during breakfast or lunch, this place will never disappoint you. I with my family have been visiting the place for years and love to taste all these one by one every time we visit the place. I have tried the place for morning breakfast also and they open up by 8AM. The only thing that must be kept in mind is that its really difficult to find a place to park your vehicle, definitely if you take the car. But that's ok on days except holidays.' The name Udupi hotel is misleading!!! Be warned that it is a restaurant that dishes out Punjabi and Chinese food mainly. If you expect a nice lunch of rice/sambar/rasam, you will be sorely disappointed. No such thing is available.
