Asagao "The Japanese Kitchen" — Restaurant in Gurugram District

Wow! What an experience!

Entry was awesome: Found an ample parking space for my big car. I didn't find this at many places.

Firstly about Ramen 🍜: Many so called authentic restaurants serving Japanese Cuisine couldn't give the most important thing of Ramen that is Broth and quality of Noodles, got the desired one from the 'Asagao'. It's Delicious and especially the seafood Ramen with superior quality ingredients(Liked the quality of Octopus) were served.

Secondly the Sushi Platter: It was super delicious. The salmon maki and Tamago Nigiri were my favourite. Rest all good too.

I had even observed the Chef & staff of Asagao were helping the first timers who did not know about Japanese cuisine. That was so good to see (I didn't get a help like this when I had visited a Japanese restaurant for the first time). A fine management I call it.

Great ambience and a nice setting. Nobody to attend to you even though only 2 tables were occupied. I had to go upstairs to inform someone about my plight. Bill was made and later waived, shouldn’t have been made in the first place as I barely had anything.

Wouldn’t recommend or visit again!

Response to hotel: Yes, I did eat the sushi half way through, and then saw this! You think I saw the worm, decided to eat some more and then raise a complaint? Use some logic or brains, if you have any! And the ramen was served later which we barely consumed as this gross issue was going on. I can share more...

It's not that easy to find a Japanese cuisine experience in Delhi-NCR that is so personalized and warm/hospitable. Luckily a friend's recommendation led me here and I can't wait to be back again already. I had the Salmon bento box and loved how balanced, umami-rich, nutritious and wholesome the meal was, paired perfectly with miso soup and refreshing cold ocha. For a person who loves her privacy, it was a bonus to enjoy my meal in the lovely traditional Japanese Zashiki style seating, plus I even got to hear my favorite Japanese music, which I hope is played again at the restaurant ;) Thank you Team Asagao for making my day.
