What an underwhelming experience !!!
Such an impressive ambience - gone waste due to poor quality food and pathetic service standards.
You enter the place to be hit by an impressive display of cuisines - Japanese, Thai, Italian, Indian etc. What is the point when you have a plethora of multi cuisine options available to eat but absolutely pathetic service at all counters ? The people working in the respective counters desperately need training. No one had a smile in their face and no one makes you feel welcome.
The guy in the Indian counter stares at you blankly and does not even know how to take an order properly or reply to a question. When asked for paratha , he curtly replies ‘ no paratha available’. Upon my probing , he asks the chef and tells me ‘ lacha paratha ‘ can be made. Ok, you order the rotis hoping they will arrive at the table. The rotis are served 25 minutes after you finish eating the curries from the buffet. So basically , they keep you waiting for the rotis for ever until the curries become cold. Besides, the taste of the Indian curries is extremely mediocre. They were very average preparations - that even a 2 star restaurant can do better. This was Indian food at the seven star Spectra - which was a miserable mockery!
The person at the Thai corner first refused to prepare green curry - I told him that you have green curry paste and coconut milk ; why can’t you prepare ? Then he prepared excessively salty green curry. I had to ask him to add more coconut milk to fix it which he did reluctantly. He seriously needs training on how to talk to the customer and how to make food.
The Italian spaghetti aglio olio was also mediocre. The noodles in the tomato egg drop soup were not cooked properly. The falalfel was good - they cleared the hummus and Muhammara from our table before we finished it.
The worst part is that no one smiled or was courteous. They all seemed tired of doing their job.
Chef Amit came by and apologized and offered to prepare something special but we did not feel like eating at that point.
The price is steep at 4000 plus tax per person. There was absolutely no value for money from the meal and the experience. This is a place with just an attractive decor and ambience - all frills but no substance - no value for money - poor quality food and extremely poor service. Just compare to the spectra at Leela Chennai which was a top notch experience - spectra at Leela Gurgaon need to get their act together and improve both food quality and service standards. I felt I was robbed of 8000 + ++ INR as me and my wife left the restaurant totally...

Read more4th March 2022 Let's keep it Short The ambience 8/10, The service 2/10 The table (1/10) The Food (3/10) The atmosphere (4/10) Value for money (2/10)
Reason for rating Starting with table reservation: had a table reserved for 5 People, when we reach they aren't aware we have a table for 5 and offer a table for 4 with extra chair. We disagree , they ask us to wait , waiting table is a conference table which isn't cleaned , the rest over food is stil on the table .
No water was offered while waiting. Finally get a table (near the bar which is loud enough to spoil your family dinner, ( fast music and on the louder side) . We settle down just to notice THE TABLE is UNSTABLE ,almost 2 inch imbalance.. Are you guys for real ? A 5 star restaurant with a broken dinner table . anyways ,We ask the waiter to check it and after checking it there is no apology , suggests us to adjust for a while, and comes back with a cardboard cutout to fix it .
So that's how you start your dinner ,.the mood is set Moving further , we order Starters , and spirit, the Starters are served while waiting for the drinks, finally the drinks arrive when we r done with the Starters.Just Ok quality food.
Finally the dinner is ordered ,which is "bit"better than the starters .
And then the sweets are served . I guess Haldiram has better rasmali at 3/10th price and gulab jamun , I think Aggarwal sweets is also better at it. @1/10th price Anyways . Finaly they get you the cheque which makes you feel like an super idiot ,paying so much for such third class experience (that too on someone's anniversary)
You are paying only for ambience
