Tau's Cafe And Lassi Bar — Restaurant in Gurugram District

Today I had a profoundly disappointing experience at Tau's Cafe And Lassi Bar that I feel compelled to share. My visit to the restaurant was marred by the extremely rude behavior of the owner, which left a sour taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally. I arrived at Tau's Cafe And Lassi Bar at around 10:33 PM, just a bit before their listed closing time of 11:00 PM, according to Google Maps. When I walked in, I noticed the owner was at the front desk, taking orders, and shockingly, he was eating from a plate right on the same desk where he was handling food orders. This immediately struck me as unprofessional and unsanitary, but I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and proceeded to place my order. However, things took a turn for the worse when I asked the owner if I could order dinner. He responded curtly and without any semblance of politeness that they were closed for orders after 10:30 PM. I was taken aback by his unfriendly tone and explained that I had come a considerable distance specifically to dine at his restaurant, hoping that he might make an exception. Instead of showing any flexibility or understanding, he became visibly angry and told me that he was not in the mood to argue, emphasizing that he had been running the restaurant for the past 15 years (although it's anyone's guess when they actually started). In response, I calmly mentioned that I had been a loyal customer and had ordered from Tau's Cafe And Lassi Bar on multiple occasions in the past. Unfortunately, this only seemed to infuriate him further. It was clear that the owner had no regard for customer loyalty and was unwilling to accommodate even a simple request. The utter lack of professionalism and the owner's rude behavior left me with no choice but to walk out of Tau's Cafe And Lassi Bar. I was appalled by the owner's attitude and complete disregard for customer service. It's disheartening to see such behavior, especially from a business that relies on its customers to thrive.

In short, I cannot recommend Tau's Cafe And Lassi Bar to anyone based on my experience. The combination of unsanitary practices and the owner's appalling attitude make it a place I will never visit again. I will also avoid ordering from them online and will actively discourage my friends and colleagues from patronizing this establishment. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that offer better food and, more importantly, treat their customers with respect and courtesy.

I used to love this place as I used to visit it in my childhood days around 2013-14...I was a HUGE fan of this restaurant ....

But everything changed on 14th September,2024....I went to this restaurant for food.... Ordered Paneer paratha....and u can't believe how bad that paneer was...at first I didn't realised that paneer was spoiled as I used a lot of butter in earlier bites and thought it's the taste of butter....But after a few bites i realised I was served PATHETIC food!!....I was very disappointed, tried telling my grievance to one of the workers and he gave me a very wierd reaction....

When I with my family went home...all 3-4 of us very ill...and in a very TERRIBLE condition.... i remember it took me months to recover from this....That day i really wanted to give an review for the same but I had no power left as even opening eye and watching the screen was a problem for me....Even my mother had food poisoning,My sister was ill....and in my case? I CANT EXPLAIN THE SCENERIO!!!...My immune is very strong...But somehow these guys managed to get me the worst possible paneer that even made me feel as if I was living some last days of my life....

I am sorry if any manager or owner is reading this and you are feeling bad from reading this but trust me...I was your regular customer for years and years and I have seen the reduction in the quality of parathas, atmosphere,food and even butter and dahi quality....I can't believe this is the same restaurant for which I used to crave for...I LITERALLY CANT BELIEVE I WAS A HUGE FAN OF YOUR FOOD AS A KID...Sorry to say, But now I regret!

I don't know if you will improve or not it's all in God's hands....But all I can say is,It's very disappointing to see your restaurant change over time and it's heartbreaking for me too!

Today 23rd June , 2025.... Someone else came regarding the same issue that reminded me of how BAD,POOR, PATHETIC AND DANGEROUS your food is for public...So it reminded me of the WORST time of my life i had where I had food poisoning for days and days ....going to washrooms 12-20 times a day and only water coming out as residue....

I am very sorry and DISAPPOINTED, never thought I had to put such a review for my childhood favourite restaurant but now that you serve FAKE PANEER with uncooked poor quality sabzi and butter/dahi .....I am left with no option....You guys were good when this mall was a running mall...Maybe there were serious investigation on you guys....

Third class hospitality I have ever seen today first time I went with my family but food was ok kind but majorly what happened was not acceptable as my daughter was not feeling well so I ordered pizza and I requested that owner to pls allow her to have her food,the moment she finished her food only 1slice of pizza was left over as we didn't want to throw in a dustbin me and my wife are about to eat at that particular time he came with his attitude that aap yahan bahar ka nahi kha sakte I said bro waste karna ya dustbin mein hum log nahi phekte but he argued with us ki hum log to esa hi karte hai . This was disgusting that being into hospitality sector some people are there who think ki Khana phekne mein vishwas rakhte hai. Our intention was not to have food from outside only one bite was left which my wife was supposed to eat but he pointed out,aaccording to any ipc there is no such rule which can stop some one to have one brand food under another brand roof.these cheap rules are made for the sake of their big nonsense...
