Om Sweets, World Street Faridabad was expected to offer a quality dining experience, but it failed on all fronts. The visit was marked by unacceptable hygiene, negligent staff, and complete lack of basic hospitality.

From the beginning, no staff member welcomed or guided toward a table. The selected table was unclean and unhygienic, and even after repeated requests, it was only partially cleaned, with scraps left on the floor. This happened during non-rush hours, while several staff members stood idle near the counter — yet no one took initiative.

Water was not served proactively, and even after asking, fewer glasses were provided than needed. Switching to another table made no difference — it was also dirty, and once again, cleaning required multiple reminders.

Service during the meal was disorganized. While the first order was delivered after a reasonable wait, a second round of food was delayed for over 20–30 minutes, with no staff checking in. Only after approaching the billing counter was it found that the order had just been processed. Staff had to be chased to get the food served — and it came without cutlery, which was provided only after further requests.

Even after the meal, no water was offered, and requests were ignored. The checkout process was careless, with no proper interaction or attention.

While the food was decent, good food means nothing without proper service, hygiene, and professionalism. The ambience is average at best. The staff appeared untrained and indifferent, with no sense of customer service or hospitality.

Visited Om Sweets at World Street, Faridabad, and while the location is great and the ambiance looks promising from the outside — sadly, the actual experience left much to be desired.

Tried their Chole Bhature, which turned out to be an utter letdown. The chole were so bland, it felt like something being served to hospital patients. For a brand like Om Sweets, known for North Indian flavors, this was disappointing. Other food items we tried were also below par, lacking freshness and proper seasoning.

But what truly took the experience from bad to worse was the rude behavior at the sweets counter. I went to purchase cashew-based sweets for home and requested an assorted box. The staff bluntly refused, saying they don’t allow mixed cashew sweets. Even when I asked specifically for cashew jalebi, the salesperson refused again, stating:

“If I give you that, what will I keep for display?”
