We celebrated our daughter's 1st b'day here on 21st sept. We had a lovely and flawless experience with Orchid Garden management. Will explain in detail for everyone's benefit.
We were given a detailed menu list and were offered indoor+outdoor seating space as per our likings. They accommodated almost all our requests like having specific type of seating, having buffet arrangements at a specific place, decoration/cake cutting inside gazebo, etc.
Also, they helped customize our per plate menu to fit it into our budget. I would like to thank the manager Mr. Jitender Singh Negi for his courteous behaviour, help and wonderful management.
3 days before the party, we were invited to have a dinner with head chef with the menu that we had selected for the party plus more. We were able to customize the menu as per our likings e.g. we replaced some of the starters because we were able to taste it before. Head chef Mr. Aditya Dhasmana understood our requirements and suggested multiple options to include which we liked. This was really great experience!
The waiters/servers were quite active. Mr. Negi had assigned 2 people specifically for any run-time requirements during the party. The staff was polite, professional and quick to serve the food. We did not hear even a single complaint from our guests.
Food was really delicious. The starters were served fresh and hot. Special mention for the Mocktails which were very tasty and presentable. They had set up table for our "No onion No garlic" guests and had prepared separate dishes for them which were equally tasty.
Lastly, the venue is one of a kind. Perfect place for having open air parties with option to have indoor/Gazebo seating as well.
Most of the guests came to thank us for the lovely party and appreciated the arrangements. It was so nice to hear. Highly...
Read moreThis place is unique and different to all the other plethora of high end dining options that have come up in the city off late. Everything about this restaurant- from the outdoor garden sitting and gazebo, lighter music, rustic decor with a ultra modern twist to the taste and quality of food and drinks alongwith the professional service - sets this place apart and make it a recommendable choice. We had tried dishes from varying cuisines - Tibetan/Chinese Momos, Middle Eastern Chicken Shawarma, Continental Garlic Bread and Mughlai Biryani - and all the cusinies tasted authentic and the dishes were delicious. The mocktails are a notch above the standardized flavoured drinks one gets all over the town these days. The watermelon virgin mojito was mentioned as a signature drink on the menu; and it was worthy of the label. The pudina shikanji was a good choice too. The only point to ponder while thinking of visiting the restaurant is that the prices can be considered a bit on the premium side and the food preparation time can feel a bit longer compared to other comparable restaurants. However, both the pricing and timing are justified by the service, ambience, taste and...
Read moreWish I could give them stars in the negative. Everything which shines is not always gold. This saying is so true about this place. Went there post recommendation. The ambience is good. But after that what happens is... shocking. After 15 mins of taking table, we asked for water. The water forgot to get glasses. We ordered soup, and being vegetarian, the waiter served us non veg soup, when we complained, the manager said, please check it's a veg soup. After explaining, he finally understood. Then he gave us a soup which was simply Pathetic. We thought to order main course, but it seemed they were too busy and not taking orders. When after waiting, we told them to get the bill, the manager got the wrong bill and started arguing it's your bill. My god, in this era of customer service, see how they were least bothered about it. Our take... Please go at...
