Awesome... The park is distinguished by straight, tall deodars reaching for the sky. It is a grand exhibition of unspoiled Himalayan deodar forest planted right inside the town. This is definitely the best deodar forest I have seen. Deodars are everywhere in Manali even on the upper mountain range but the density dropped as you go higher. On the mountains, trees grow sparsely and their growths are stunted. Here, the park is well fed by the two rivers. The locals seemed to be oblivious of this beauty. They can watch the snow-capped mountains right from their backyard. So understandably this is not one of the things they craved about. During my two walks I saw only few people at the Park. The Park has been left undisturbed for quite a long time now. The stones and trees have begun to gather moss and towards late evening the forest looked haunting. Cluster of deodars reaches for sky and from a distance it formed a dark canopy like silhouettes of mountains from afar. In the morning the Park looked completely differently. Sun rays find their way into the floor of the forest and the green moss lit up instantly. It looked like a scene straight from ā€˜Lord of the Rings.’The fringes of the Park facing the river are most picturesque. These are ideal spots for picnics. From there you can watch the river, Vashisht Village, the road leading to Rohtang Pass and the...

TheĀ Manali SanctuaryĀ is aĀ wildlife sanctuaryĀ inĀ Himachal PradeshĀ in northernĀ India. The sanctuary starts about 2 km fromĀ Manali. It is the catchment ofĀ Manalsu khad. A path from Manali log huts and Dhungri temple passes through denseĀ Deodar,Ā Kail,Ā Horse chestnut,Ā WalnutĀ andĀ MapleĀ forests.Ā Musk deer,Ā MonalandĀ Brown bear,Ā LeopardĀ andĀ Snow leopardĀ are some of the common animals seen here. Herds ofĀ IbexĀ are seen migrating in theĀ glacierĀ zone in summers. The area of the sanctuary is about 31.8 square kilometres. The following area was declared as a sanctuary on 26 February 1954, under the Punjab Birds and Wild Animals Protection Act of 1933. A small walk in the Manali Nature Park will bring tourists a step closer towards nature. Encircled by large groves of Deodar trees, the wildlife reserve is set on the bank of river Beas and is a pristine nature park.

Don't forget to carry binoculars on a short trip to Manali National Park as this is the place where tourists can spot Himachal's state bird, Manual Pheasant. All thanks to its beauty and the expansive wilderness, the nature park attracts a large number of tourists from...

A small walk in the Manali Nature Park will deliver tourists a step closer toward nature. Encircled by using massive groves of Deodar timber, the natural world reserve is set on the financial institution of river Beas and is a pristine nature park. The park can be easily distinguished from region, just because of its tall cedar and deodar bushes. The Manali Nature Park is flanked by way of many snow-capped mountains. If vacationers think that during Manali Nature Park they'll locate some wild bizarre animals, then this is only a false impression. Here, you may catch most effective spot only small birds and mammals. Like the opposite animal reserves in Himachal Pradesh, Manali Nature Park is a dense land dotted with Deodar, Kail, Horse chestnut, Walnut and Maple bushes which upload to its beauty. A cluster of bushes reaches the sky and paperwork a dark cover which seems like silhouettes of mountains from a distance. Sunrays passing through the giant trees lit up the inexperienced pastures immediately. Weather: Summer 4°C to 26°C Winter...

The thing about visiting Manali is that a lot of places remain unexplored or ignored even if they're really worth a visit. This place is one such place as those who visit Manali by tour packages usually just get to explore Van Vihar (nearby Hadimba Temple) while this place is better than that. Perks of visiting this place include that you won't find a lot of crowd, all tall pine trees and plenty of peaceful spots, then you can even go to nearby Beas River that flows adjacent to it, there are beautiful birds in enclosures (you will be astonished to see beauty of Himalayan Monal). Also, we visited during off season (September) maybe you will find crowd if you visit it during active season. If you're just solo traveller or roaming around with college buddies, you can go inside and explore it just by jumping through a boundary near Mall Road. Sadly we weren't aware of this entry point and had to climb up all the way to actual entrance that is 1-2 km away.
