Mclodganj is a fantastic little town very very crowded . It's best experienced on foot or you can rent a two wheeler here. Highlight of the trip is authentic continental food you get here in small cafes ,must experience cafe is 'trek and dine cafe ' at dharamkot for continental food ........while Tibetan kitchen at mclodganj for Tibetan authentic food, try fried momos it's awesome... Pancakes,Ā  pizza and thai food is good at crepes cafe which is next to mount view hotel in main market of maclodgunj . Try dark chocolate bhagsu cake 35 rs. Per pieceĀ  ( at krishna General store situated at 5min walk above bhagsu temple )

Also you will get 8 diffent varieties of localĀ  fruit wine like Apple, peach, Rhoda, apricot etc. at krishna General store, bhagsu( price at 300 to 400 per 750ml bottle,,,,,same is sold at 700 / bottle in mclodganj and dharamkot )

Another highlight of trip was nice small treks to differ places like dharamkot to gallu.(It's 4km steep trek , taxi takes 400 one way) ....dharamkot to bhagsu....its 20min on foot gradual descent through small village which is full of yoga centres,Ā  music , meditation,Ā  beer cafes, etc......its very scenic and you will enjoy walk here....a must try by all means if you like walking in woods .

Only thing to note is lanes of maclodgunj and surrounding area are very very narrow and nearly always jam with vehicles so best is explore by walking and stay at far peaceful locations like bhagsu, naddi, dharamkot etc. So park your 4 wheelers at parking lot and never take it out for local...

The only cafe in Dharamshala that deserves to be talked about and yet, remains an underdog. Not many know about it and not all wish to visit Dharamkot, where this beauty is located.

The Ambience is mesmerizing! If you have even slight interest in the restaurant industry, you'll dream about owning such a beautiful and scenic cafe once in your life! This is by far the most chilled out place I have visited in the country!

The seating is designed in such a way and the table tops are so low, that you'll not have to sit, but laze or even lie down! It's covered from the top but is kept open from all the sides and since we visited during July monsoons, the windy weather made it no less than a dreamy affair!

We had a Tom Yum soup which seemed so fresh that our taste buds were rejoicing, after 5 tiring days in the hills. It was loaded with Veggies. Had some detox juices as well that tasted awesome.

⭐⭐ MAJOR RECOMMENDEDATION -

Trek n Dine is famous for Pizzas and that's exactly what you should be having here! I have forgotten the name now but the one that was loaded with everything ( There's always this one pizza at every eatery that's loaded with all the veggies that they use).

The pizza was so huge that even four famished foodies found it difficult to gooble it up! One slice was as big as an adult's palm! I'll share the picture!

The base was super crisp despite it being loaded with Cheese and scrumptious veggies!

Even after our meal, we stayed there for about half an hour. The staff won't ask you to leave at all!

Highly...

I would highly recommend this place for their amazing food and ambience i totally loved it.. It gives a very chill vibe and atmosphere to dine in. The only problem i had was with one of the server he was so rude to us as we ordered food and we were 7 members and the place we were sitting became very small for us as it was meant to be for 5 to 6 people we switched our seats and he literally shouted on us and was like why are you changing your seats and others are getting disturbed even though the place was empty at that moment.. i said excuse me your place is empty and the food hasn't arrived yet so there should be no big issue with it.. and then he started arguing with us for atleast 5 mins he kept arguing and was very rude so i said if im speaking politely i expect you to do the same or else please dont talk. So before this incident me my cousins and friends used to visit there every weekend but since that day it has been over a month now we never went back there.. this was the issue why i gave 2 stars only as it was not the first time he did this, before that 3 4 times too he behaved very...

They did not brought first thing ordered, water on the table. It was on the charge slip. Later crossed it off. Did not provided additional fork. Their service was bad. They could not charge me on my credit card and need cash. They didnot provided me a final bill. We asked them to pack leftover pizza, garlic bread and spaghetti. The package is missing pizza. I paid cash of 3K for bad service without a pucca bill available. I had to fight with them to charge me on my card, but they showed service unavailability. On asking why it is not working, the person said, you should have asked if they will accept credit card. As we were the only Indians, I asked if they pay attention to servicing non-Indians. Bad service, bad internet service. Nice people, atleast they heard me as a group.
