This is a tiny place is a hole in the wall in the middle of a residential area. Offers momos at a regular price and the taste and quality are good but honestly I didn't find anything exceptional here. The seating is very small and usually always occupied. They do offer take out but they didn't seem to deliver food. The waiting time is terribly high - I ordered for 2 portions of steamed non-veg momos and 1 portion of fried chicken momos which took them about 1 hr and 15 mins to prepare and parcel. The owner is Kirpal Singh, aged about 65 and there are two other cooks in the tiny kitchen all the time who are equally old or older than him. Not a very happening place but if you ever find it vacant while driving through the road, don't mind taking a stop to grab a bite out very a parcel. Nothing extraordinary here to specially plan a visit to this place, you may be disappointed if you do. There are other places in McLeodganj which serve better momos and offer a very fast service especially for momos. Check my other reviews, you'll find good places. Driving time to-fro to such places during non peak hours will be generally less than the wait time here. Go towards city centre for better options and great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you love Momos then this is the place for you in Dharamshala. It is situated towards Dharamshala main market to khanyara road & itās sort of a kiosk where only 7 to 8 persons can sit at a time. I personally liked veg momos so not sure about mutton momos so if you are non veg then give it a try. Also, they will offer you a soup so donāt think IT IS COMPLIMENTARY rather you will be charged for it ( Didnāt find it worth though). Also, you need to park somewhere along the road but donāt block the traffic else you will attract challan. So, what are you waiting for guys, go for it next time you visit my hometown...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can say with conviction that the best momos in India are made by Kirpal. They are extremely tastey and the chilly paste (chutney) served with it makes it an experience to remember. Menu includes veg and non-veg momos, steamed as well as fried. Thats all. And thats all you will ever want. Kirpal started making these about more than 25 years back. And his knack of making perfect momos is now at the level of an art. The shop is very small and congested. You have to wait for 15 to 25 minutes, depending upon the rush. But its well worth the wait. Go,...
