I rarely review restaurants but this time I had to. This was a bad experience. First of all, the whole place is full of moths flying around and it's disgusting. The floor under the table where I sat was dirty with food residue and cutlery. The TV was very loud and insufferable, and I asked to lower the volume a bit which they did, but then another waiter came and raised the volume back again. I asked him to lower it, and after a few minutes he raised to a volume even higher than before. I struggled to find a table far from the TV and without moths flying around. I only found a table near the counter and the waiter used my table for the wireless PC mouse and the waiters always stood very close to my table with their bums in front of my face. The food is too expensive. I ordered a veg thali and the chapatti was hard and chewy and stale. Other ingredients were good though. Then it started raining and the noise was ridiculous because they have a cheap metal roof and the rain noise was really loud. I would rather eat at a simple dhaba any time...

Read moreVinod's Rasoi in the heart of Kotwali Bazaar in Dharamshala is a gem of a find, especially if you're looking for a restaurant with a great view. We chose the open terrace seating and were blown away by the beautiful view of the mountains, valleys, and colorful village houses.
The food was also fantastic, and we particularly enjoyed the Cheese Chilly, French Fries, and Spring Rolls. The prices were reasonable and well worth the quality of food.
The restaurant has a basement seating area as well as the open terrace seating, so there are multiple options for diners. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was prompt and efficient.
