Read moreThe Street Rasoi is a small and petite restaurant located just below the Mall Road, quite close to the Christ Church, which is located on the Ridge above the Mall. It's in the same unassuming building as the more popular Chennai Maratha. I got a seat immediately, this being just before the tourist season. Since it was lunch time I ordered rajmah and roti. The restaurant has an arrangement with another eatery for some of the dishes on its menu. The rotis are prepared on-site. The rajmah was in a thick gravy and cooked just right. The place being small, you may not want to linger over a leisurely meal. The prices are inexpensive for a place of this location, and the helpings...
