Akbar Fast Food — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Akbar Fast Food is near Mozamhil Market at Nampally in the Abids locality. From the outside it looks pretty nondescript and might not boost your confidence at the get go.

But suspend your worries and step in and order their chicken fry or prawn fry or tanduri (I tested the 65 too, but that I've had better). The fry dishes are delicious, special even. Served with soft rotis, they are excellent value for money. You'd be pretty happy with the quantity even after ordering only half a plate.

Service was okay. Gets crowded in the evening. Also this place does a lot more deliveries than sit in I presume. The place could be better cleaned or better maintained and can look like a place with better ambience. But that's a secondary concern when you are looking for cheap...

I recently ordered Chicken Manchurian from Akbar Fast Food and was extremely disappointed. The dish did not taste like real chicken at all—the texture and smell were off, making it clear that expired or low-quality meat was used.

This raises serious concerns about food safety and hygiene. Serving spoiled or fake meat is not only unethical, it’s dangerous to customers’ health.

I urge the management to take this seriously and improve their quality standards. I will not be ordering again until I see better...
