It's better to write Truth than a review for freebies. So, here it goes. I have been eating here since it started, loved their food and everything until the whimsical customization come in place, throw the COVID guidelines too as they dont listen if you tell them. We were a family of Four Cousins (read Men), when we entered on Dec 9, 2020. The ground floor was shockingly full with no social distancing among people , tables or sanitation protocols followed. I asked for the Owner , Mr. Yusuf, got to know he is in Dubai, so I asked for next person in charge, and there was a Gentleman, misleading to this title who told me upstairs the section is for families, when I asked him what does family mean, he said it means to have a woman. I asked him is he taking guarantee of my health and my cousin's safety by making us sit in a crowded place. I wanted to go upstairs and check the seating myself. He asked me to meet someone whose name was familiar, so I went upstairs and told him the scenario, he obliged and gave me a table and understood the point that health is of concern. My questions to the management : In today's world if families section mean with "Ladies" - do you ask relation certificate ? why cant brothers come ? Are you serving liquor ? Don't even talk about Mahram or Non Mahram, coz I could hardly find anyone upstairs with Hijab or any screens made to separate "families" ...so you can keep the religion aside ( I didnt intend to bring this topic) Coming back ... Larger hotels do not seem to buy this logic of family section so, why is this applicable to 'particular' restaurants ? Don't they trust their Clientele ? or they do not trust their chef and are sure of a fuss over food or service ? Btw... No Gloves used by Stewards! With this boorish attitude of Guest relations, the food has been good , the service has been tad slow but I removed the stars for their outdated and completely prehistoric "family" thinking in country where we pledge All Indians are my Brothers and Sisters ! Family Section !!!! Make Relations...
Read moreI recently visited to celebrate a special family occasion, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment. Our experience was far from what we had anticipated, and here's why:
Menu Confusion: We were misled about the menu options. We expected to receive a particular platter, but instead, we were served something entirely different. When we inquired, the staff curtly informed us that the platter we expected was not mentioned in the menu and it's my responsibility to ask them.
Rude Service: The person who took our order was not only unhelpful but also rude. When we questioned the discrepancy with our order, we were bluntly told that we hadn’t asked for the right platter, leaving us feeling frustrated and unheard.
Cold, Reheated Food: The food that was served was cold and appeared to have been reheated in a microwave rather than freshly cooked. This was extremely disappointing, especially considering we were there for a celebratory meal.
Self-Service in a Full-Service Restaurant: To make matters worse, there was no one to serve the food, and we were left to do self-service, which is unacceptable in a full-service restaurant. The staff, rather than attending to us, just stood by the table, staring, without offering any assistance.
Lack of Basic Courtesy: The entire experience was marred by a lack of basic courtesy and professionalism. It felt as though the staff had no interest in providing even the minimum level of service expected at a restaurant.
Overall, our experience was pathetic and far below expectations. We were deeply disappointed and won’t be returning. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary...
