Barbeque Nation - Abids — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Had my sons birthday party here for around 30 people. Overall our experience was fine

The Decoration looked good on their brick wall, Staff helped in tying the banner & balloon strip on wall, We got complimentary 500gm cake on request They Helped in packing the slices in their mini boxes for guests. Served kulfis on table when counter was closed as some guest came late. Plus they gave us group discount.

However, Literally ALL of the guests complained that their service was way too slow compared to other branches. And the WORST part is the waiters here were balantly IGNORING their requests to even bring spoons, tissues or requested starters. WE DIDN'T EXPECT THIS TREATMENT FROM BARBEQUE NATION OUTLET!!!

Not even a single guest gave us good feedback. What every one felt was the staff was treating the HOST differently than the GUESTS, because wherever we sat they were very quick, responsive & constantly asked for feedback on taste, etc But sadly most our guests had opposite & disappointing experience. They said may be because we were the ones going to PAY THE BILL, so staff focused only on us & didn't care about others

Taste wise their dishes were on the SPICIER side compared to Banjarahills, Jubliehillls & Gachibowli branches due to which everyone wanted cooldrinks which are charged at Rs120 per glass. Prawns were too greasy & bland & biryani was below average. For me chicken Tandgi, sheek kebab &malai Fish were the winners.

On a side note, I Personally didn't like their choice of song for 5 years old's birthday ceremony. They played the same punjabi song which we heard 3-4 times that night. We told them to change song twice but I guess they didn't had a plain & simple "Happy birthday to you" song.

I just wish they had maintained the same standard of customer satisfaction like they usually do & left all our guests with happy. My sister was also planning to host 20 people here but she opted for Absolute barbecue after this experience.

Had they treated the guests better i would have...

Review is based on food tasting experience as my family background is from food industry i.e, Catering!

Food :

Mutton kebabs - Frozen style mutton kebabs were served being in hyderabad they could have served authentic seekh kebabs or boti kebabs

Prawns - Not even medium sized prawns I felt the prawns served were very small in size so couldn't taste that fleshy taste of prawns

Fish - Again very small portion of fish when grilled you feel eating some kind of mushy flour

Mutton Raan - Quality of meat is not good please use telangana potla mutton for taste and juicy texture

Biryani Mutton - It was cold and bland with full of bones please use potla mutton which is pink in texture even after you cook it

Haleem - Instead name it as daliya for patients

Noodles - Bland

Grilled fish in butter - Can you please get bink chunks of fish so that a person really can taste a fish, I was served a size of 2 rupee coin bite sized when you grill it nothing was left

Mutton marag - It was literally a joke never touching it again

Live chat counter - 1 person who is managing chat and also non veg live counter so it is a big concern for vegetarians

Dishes on buffet were almost cold and some were even empty

Desserts : Pastries are ok Gulab jamuns are fab and icecreams are flavourful coming to kulfis please remove thy counter because they are tasteless

Service : Sweety Mallya was very helpful and tried her level best to comfort us with her excellent service

Yesterday we were among the 60 people went for dinner with prebooked appointment at This Barbeque Nation Abids. There was absolutely no barbeque served until an hour even after the go ahead nod. we kept asking this server who was serving alone looking for the needs of 60ppl the other staff were busy with regular customers. They didn't serve entire menu, fruits were missing, for main course had to wait for refill, everything was cold biryani, curries vegetable and non veg, vegetable biryani was not refilled. Seeing the waiter struggle to reach everyone was chaotic, i mean they could have planned manpower accordingly. No proper plates provided, spoons and forks were missing we had to remind them. Guests didn't get proper place so they were 6ppl approx near 4 seaters. My concern is there downward service and missing menu. After knowing about the 60pax booking also they couldn't manage. The food was full spicy inspite of requesting for less spicy they ignored reason no adequate staff and service. I gave 2 stars especially to this single person serving struggling to reach everyone his hardwork, and another person at panipuri counter handing too many things alongside pani puri, chat, kulfi everything.

This is not the place for your get togethers for more than 20ppl certainly. They cannot handle rush with such less manpower. The food has no taste...
