Jashan Express — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Well.. it's my most visited place. I wouldn't be shocked if i rated it 5 stars before. I loved this place. But my recent visit changed everything. We always ordered manchurian here cz ofcourse it's delicious. And we ordered a little chrispy. Cz who doesn't love chrispy. ( We always do) But to our surprise they gave us hardened double fried Manchurian ( probably old ones) And they were so hard. Extremely. It was almost like trying to chew some stones.

Well it's not like we didn't point it out. We called the manager and told him how do you serve this hard Manchurian to your all time visiting customers. The guy just said "you ordered chrispy".

Looks like the manager doesn't know the difference between chrispy and hard.

He said he'd get a normal one. We said fine let's see.

To our surprise that was also chewy. It's definitely old frozen one. It shouldn't be called soft.

We initially ordered 2 Manchurian. So since they're giving a soft one due to their mistake, there should be only 2 mentioned in the bill but looks like the restaurant doesn't believe in quality or the importance of a review or maintaining a standard.

So we payed for 3 without a word and left. Little did they know they have a review coming.

Santosh Dhaba is a brand on its own in Hyderabad but certain outlets take it for granted now as they have enough customer base, most of which are willing to compromise. This place was too good when it started and was a decent place to throw small parties with good vegetarian food and nice ambience. Food quality, quantity and taste have degraded now for many items. Certain Soups are tasteless or very spicy, spring roll is filled with only spicy cabbage, paneer tikka is not that soft, fried rice doesn't have proper vegetables and crunch, few curries are too oily, pasta quantity is too less with almost negligible broccoli, olives and so on. It is not worth to spend extra to go to this place any more. Jashan is located in abids and is 1 of the most famous restaurant in the vicinity. It is often full on weekends. The only reason this place runs full is their fast service and purely family restaurant. When I visited this place it was not too crowded. You'll get soup and starters in less than 5-10mins after you order. The items are nothing special to eat, just the regular ones. Whatever you order the gravy seems to be the same for all the curries. Before you are even done eating completely, you will see the bill waiting on the table.

Covid norms: Waiters and other workers found wearing mask continuously. Sanitizer was not found anywhere,had to ask the waiter for it and he got it from inside(probably his own). No social distancing norms followed. They clean table with just wet cloth after every...
