Read moreOn a Saturday night. The entrance to Coco's seems like a dingy sort of back alleyway and after a few flight of stairs, you'll find yourself in a sort of hut themed seating area. The seats were not that comfy. The decor seemed like short ropes hanging and basically nothing else to it except for a few hanging lamps here and there.
The service was slow.
The food - 1) Belgian Potato Fritters...too peppery and dry af! They did not give us any sauces or accompaniments to have the Fritters with. When asked, they gave us some sweetened ketchup and bland sort of watery mayo dip. Not recommended to order this dish. 2) Chilli Chicken tasted good. 3) Garlic Mushrooms tasted good.
To take away, ordered the Lamb chops with Mashed potato. All I got was tough meat in alot of peppery gravy and French fries ! They did not give any mashed potatoes.
The only enjoyable part was the music. A live 'singer' (not band) on his guitar performed extremely well and took song requests too.
Will NOT be going back...
Read moreSmall a and cozy place which is open to air/ roof top, has live music. I am a regular at this place, so I chose the days when my favorite singer /band plays. Food menu choices are modest only, taste too is avg. They have continental as well as Indian cuisine. Dragon chicken is one of the things to order, the pastas, esp with white sauce are definitely recommendable. Selection of spirits may be a little disappointing as many a times they do not have what's in the menu.. Service is courteous and polite. The live bands are something to look for Seating is not very comfortable though. They have tables placed very close to each other, so that's leaves you sometimes rubbing elbows with the people on the next table..(not quite literally). U do see families and kids coming in sometimes, but it's not very ideal for them as the place allows smoking.
Overall, it's a good place to hang out with friends. Definitely...
