DECCAN FOOD COURT A/C RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Deccan Food Court is an affordable non-veg restaurant that offers a fairly decent variety of dishes. When they first launched, their pricing was extremely competitive — a smart marketing move to draw in the crowd. I still remember getting a half faham chicken for just ₹180, while most places across the city priced it at ₹230 or more.

Service is decent, though understandably slower during peak hours as the place gets crowded. That said, barbecue items like faham chicken are usually prepared and served relatively quickly.

They offer three barbecue options:

Hot & Spicy – Similar to classic tandoori chicken; bold and flavorful.

Afghani – Milder, creamy, and a personal favorite among my friends and me.

Irani – The least spicy of the three, ideal for those who prefer subtle flavors.

Prices across the menu remain competitive. We've tried a variety of items including Chicken 65, Zeera Rice, Dal Fry, prawns, and fish — most of which were consistently good. There have been occasional misses, but nothing major or off-putting.

Overall, it's a decent spot for a casual dinner with friends. However, a few drawbacks need mentioning:

The first-floor dining area has around six tables and one A/C unit that doesn’t cool effectively, despite the restaurant being labeled as A/C.

No separate family seating, and the staircase leading to the dining area is often unclean.

Takeaways or a quick dine-in visit are better options if you're not too particular about ambience.
