Gharana : The Vintage Dining — Restaurant in Hyderabad

The very first time I went here with my family when it was first launched.. horrible experience. I thought since it's new, let's leave it for now. With all these new reels about unlimited thali.. thought of giving it a chance again. Baddest decision!! Don't trust the reels, the service is pathetic. They have no concept of customer service. They are like you ordered and this is what we serve. We don't care about anything else. One server says he will finger bowl & other server says we don't give finger bowls, go use the wash basin. Dessert in unlimited thali is less than half scoop of vanilla ice-cream which is limited. Just based on the staff attitude from the time this restaurant has opened, it's been a failure. On a Sunday afternoon with festival and offers going on, the entire restaurant has only 2 tables filled. That itself should tell a lot. Food is average. Paneer is fried in the panner curry and it's chewy. The Gravy is like the one I make at home. Never again stepping into this restaurant. And when staff knows that we are unhappy, they give an attitude of who cares. Don't come back. It's okay. Either the owner of this restaurant is least bothered or its their specific instructions due to which the staff is so unruly. "Editing to reply the owner - I only requested 1 curry if I could have without onions. Never asked for jain. Anyways it was denied. It's unlimited thali and I only had 1 paneer curry left to eat. So however it was, had to manage. Also, yes we ordered the rotis more coz we were not fond of eating rice that you had filled the plate with. And we were anyways gonna pay you the full amount, so should we just pay and leave with empty stomach? We made do with what was available. The plain vanilla icecream as dessert, I wouldn't even want a refilling - I was commenting on you serving half a scoop ice cream. Rather Don't serve it na. Also you conveniently forgot commenting on the issue that you don't have the basic service of giving finger bowl on the table for North Indian Food. Even when the staff knew that we were disappointed on many ends, did they offer in any way to make the service better? NO THEY DID NOT. Read all the other negative reviews you have and majority of them is about lack of customer service. If you just don't want to help yourself and sort it out.. no one can help you. Good luck. Pathetic place to dine in with the family and had horrible experience ...

Firstly, the ambience is very poor - they hardly had 4 tables to serve for the entire resturant and need a minimum waiting of 1 hr to accommodate 10 people.

Secondly, the service is very very POOR - we were on the table for 30 min., despite of asking for water glasses thrice and the , they waiters didn't attend the table and didn't give us. We had asked for onion and green salad for the starters but no starters were provided.

After an hour of waiting, we had ordered for sarson da saag and the hotel said the item is not available - this was our utmost disappointment.

Chilli Babycorn starter is below average 3 paneer curries ordered and none of them have bare minimum standards. The home made paneer curry is 200% better.

The others dishes are not worth mentioning.

The last and the least minimum curtosy is to provide/offer mouth freshener at the last. This isn't provided on the table and the mouth freshener bowl at the reception desk. The manager/receptionist didn't even attempt to fill the bowl and offer mouth freshener. I know this is not a huge issue but this shows off the curtosy that the restuarant offers to the customers.

It is on 1st January, 2023 that we visited with 10 family members, we had the most terrible and pathetic experience.

Please be cautious if you are visiting the restuarant.

This place is in heart of Sindhi Colony, Secunderabad. Staff is Good they "try" to keep up with the customer expectations, Ambiance is also good but for sure it can be improved. They have some challenges accepting payments via cards, so make sure to carry cash or see to it that UPI server's are up and working and don't miss to verify bill with price in menu. Coming to main thing the reason you visit this place "THE FOOD" Starters are just above Average 3.5/5, Main Course is so so 2.5/5, Biryani please ignore 1/5. So all in all lot of improvement has to be done for the customers to keep coming time and again. P.S: It is my personal opinion went there with lot of expectations, may be that is the reason it may sound little harsh.
