recently had the pleasure of visiting Hameedi Confectioners in Hyderabad, and it was an unforgettable experience! As a foodie, I was on a mission to try the famous Jouzi Halwa, and Hameedi Confectioners did not disappoint. From the moment I stepped into the shop, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about their products. They offered me a sample of Jouzi Halwa, and it was love at first bite. The halwa, made from milk, sugar, clarified butter, dry fruits, and the unique Turkish nutmeg called Jouzi, was simply divine. It had a subtle, melt-in-your-mouth texture and a rich, distinctive flavor that left me craving more. In addition to the Jouzi Halwa, I also tried their almond halwa and natural fruit ice cream. Both were delicious and of exceptional quality. The almond halwa, in particular, had a unique taste and texture that set it apart from any other halwa I've tried. Tasty sweets, mostly in the form of Halwas, very heavily dripped in Ghee & Saffron,but all too Overhyped! The 'Jaouzi Halwa' loaded with Badaam is the most famous of all, tracing it's heritage back to the time of Nizaam, apart from the only other one known as 'Puran Puri'.. Pista Halwa & Badam halwa are little less popular along with all the other regular sweet varieties! Personally, Puran Puri is my favourite sweet here, apart from the Natural Handmade ice cream flavours like Mango & Muskmelon; Natural Handmade Badam Zaffaran is nothing but regular Kulfi that you get everywhere topped with Saffron. Located at Abids road opposite to SBI,this chain of outlets always remains in the bucket list of food tour in Hyderabad for their Jauzi Halwa. But I had a pretty bad experience here. Firstly,I found the items are overpriced and overhyped. Secondly, the staffs are quite unprofessional, slightly rude and has got no idea about the legacy of the famous halwa that they are selling. I had Palan pori also,which I didn’t find much appealing. During payment, the staffs indirectly quite hard pressed me towards cash payment only, while the whole country is rushing towards digital payment. Personally will not recommend this...
