⭐️⭐️⭐️ Decent Tiffins at Nani’s, but Needs Better Staff Coordination & Parking Space
Hi all, Me, my father, mother, younger sister, and my favorite — my pet dog Sweety (Indian Pomeranian) — visited Nani’s Tiffins in URBAN JUNCTION - Drive-In after completing our darshan (దర్శనం) at Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swami Temple – Vemulawada while heading back home.
🍽️ What We Tried: Idly – ₹25
Medu Vada – ₹25
Ghee Karam Dosa – ₹90 💰 Total Bill – ₹150 (including tax)
The food taste was good, especially the Ghee Karam Dosa, but the chutneys had slightly more salt than expected — not a big issue but worth noting for sensitive taste buds.
👨🍳 Staff Experience: I ordered all items separately and paid for them individually, but in the kitchen area, the staff got confused and combined my idly and vada on one plate. I asked them to serve it separately, and the staff member took one idly out of the plate and served it solo, which didn’t feel right. I had to raise my voice, and only then the chef came out and sorted the issue. They should be more attentive and organized with customer orders.
🅿️ Parking Issues: The place has very limited parking space, and it seems like they can’t handle more than 10–15 cars at a time, especially during busy hours. This could be a hassle for family groups or large gatherings.
🍔 My Sister’s Experience: While we had tiffins, my sister tried a shawarma from another stall in the same Drive-In. It’s good to see multiple food options in one place.
Final Thoughts: Taste: Good
Value for Money: Reasonable
Staff Coordination: Needs improvement
Parking: Very limited
Pet-Friendly: Yes! Appreciated that no one objected to our cute little dog Sweety being with us 🙏🐾
If they improve the staff training and parking facilities, it can be a much better...
Read moreWe have been here before few times. We had the food at the standing tables, upper sitting area as well as in the urban junction seating next door. Parking on the road and next door too, no valet. The entry in to the restuarant is really really bad...very slippery, sloped, sandy and rocks all around.
The setup is basic and lets not talk about ambience at all and please note that the service is SLOW!
The food is excellent, mostly; the sambar not great but the chutneys nice and flavorful.
The idly are basic and i guess nothing can go much wrong with them. Mysore bondas are very good and always fresh and hot. Now the best of the lot...dosas...the masala dosas are awesome...simple and melt in the mouth!! We tried the Butter Cream Dosa, Paneer Cheese dosa, Schezwan dosa and the Pizza Dosa. They are all very delicious and no potato curry at all with them! One thing i did not like is the oil in the dosas...it is too much, please cut short on the generosity ASAP!
No pics at all but next time i will!
Please do try the place and add your pics/review so it is helpful for others!
Edit - They should improve their hygiene, cleanliness, train the staff and speed up the service. I wish i see these changes on...
Read moreStopped at this place for breakfast, hoping for a good experience, but it turned out to be quite disappointing. We ordered two dosas and one idly for our group of three. Initially, they served the first dosa after 10-15 minutes, but then we were left waiting for an absurd 30-35 minutes for the second dosa.
Yes, the place was busy, but any decent restaurant would know how to prioritize their walk-in customers who are physically present and waiting. Instead, the staff here chose to prioritize online orders, despite the fact that we had placed our order much earlier. Watching them repeatedly send out online orders while we sat there waiting was frustrating and made us feel like our presence didn’t matter.
To top it off, there was no clear communication or apology from the staff for the delay. A rushed atmosphere is no excuse for poor service, especially when managing a crowd should be a basic skill for any food establishment. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and certainly not worth the wait. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they improve both their service and...
