Coming to Food
STARTER'S •Veg•
Cheese and veg kurkure - it was a top notch the outer layer had perfect crunch and the cheese just bust inside when u munch it u can taste the masala really pulled the flavours within
Panner ghee roast- the panner was perfectly fine the amount of ghee and spices did balance the dish well specially when the dish was hot loved it
Lipta mashroom - as the name wondered it would be having some batter dipped inside the mashroom but this was quite different with spicy mashroom tasted really good
Dahi ke kebabs -these were quite sour might be the yoghurt seasoned in muslin hence made it taste but sour ,the outer roll is a soft bread rolled and fried was crunchy and the combination balanced it off
Sunehri khasta- this had well Beans and veggies rolled up which is served with date chutney
•Non veg•
Awad ke galauti kebab -the kebabs had perfect minced lamb the spice pulled off really well ,just a minor thing they should add more spice as the mutton was dominating all the flavours which reduced the spice
Tala huwa gosht- the mutton flavours were very much appealing the ghee absorbed all the flavours with the mutton tasted deliciously good
Jhinga til tinka- This dish is a combination of the crumb fried king prawns cut in sides battered outside with sesame seeds on a bamboo skewers was a dish that I loved the most in here
Nimbu chicken - juicy chicken simmered down with lime and butter was tasty and lucious
Patheri wali macchi - fish dressed in basic Indian spices simmered with banana leaves

Read moreOhri’s Rubaiyat needs no introduction when it comes to having gourmet fine dine experience. This place has been one of my personal favourite. Been here multiple times, I really love their ambiance. My recent visit was super good. To begin with the appetizers, I had their Dahi ke kebab, Mattar aur Daraksh ke subz seekh, Lahori murgh tikka, Dum macchi patrawali, Jhinga til tinka and Tala hua gosht. Dahi ke kebab- Dahi ke kebab were nice and crispy. The stuffing was super delicious. This is a highly recommended dish for vegetarians. Mattar aur daraksh ke subz seekh- This would be a melt in your mouth affair. The stuffing was made up with green peas, creamed vegetables, nuts, raisins and cheese. Another good dish. Lahori murgh tikka- The lahori murgh tikka was super impressive. It was served on live fire and it had really balanced blend of spices. Dum macchi patrawali- Good chunks of fish were marinated in coconut, byadagi chilli paste and further cooked in banana leaf. This is certainly worth not missing at all. Jhinga til tinka- This was the star dish of the evening. It was made using fresh king prawns coated with white sesame seeds and had a lovely crispy texture on the outside. Simply mouth-watering. Tala hua gosht- The classic hyderabadi tala hua gosht was packed with very mellow flavours thanks to the use of ghee and whole spices. I found it reasonably decent. For mains, I had given a shot to their Turkmenistan chicken, Broccoli gobhi ka khagina and assorted bread basket. The Turkmenistan chicken was a simple, comforting dish which had a really nice flavour of black cardamom to it. The dish portion size is perfect for 2 people. Accompanied by Dhania roti and Taftan bread, it was a wholesome experience. Their broccoli gobhi ka khagina was a decent attempt on the classic kadhai gobhi with infusion of broccoli. Nothing extraordinary in terms of flavours but definitely something new due to addition of broccoli. To end things on a sweet note, I tried out their Mulayam rasmalai and kesari malpua with rabri. Summing up, I would prefer their kesari malpua with rabri anyday. The malpua was super soft and had a wonderful aroma of saffron into it. Topped with fresh rabri, it is a true delight for your taste buds. All in all, the food was excellent and the staff was super courteous. All thanks to Mr. Chandan for ensuring that I had a great meal....
Read moreOhri's Rubaiyat is a North Indian/Mughlai restaurant located in Hitech City.
I have been living in Hyderabad for 3 months at the time of writing this review and visiting this restaurant and until now my food journey in Hyderabad have been quite good. I was in the vicinity of the restaurant and decided to visit it for Dinner after seeing a 4.4 rating after 2000+ reviews.
However, this restaurant has provided me the worst hospitality experience of my life till now. The timings mentioned on ZOMATO for the restaurant says that the restaurant is open till 11:30 pm, we reached at 10:50 but the manager at the gate wasn't willing to provide us a table inspite of the fact that the restaurant was pretty much empty, he argued that the restaurant closes at 11 and I had to point out that there are still 10 mins left for 11 pm. With much hesitation, he guided us to a table. I also noticed that another family which just came after us had to fight hard for getting a table inspite of the fact that they had called before hand and had been assured a table. It seems this restaurant is not really that interested in getting business of their customers at night.
After sitting down, we ordered Bhindi Shingara, Yellow Dal, and tandoori rotis quickly hoping that our experience will be good after this point. However it was not to be, our server started serving the Dal in our plates and we asked for bowls for it, and he replied that their restaurant doesn't have bowls!! I had to ask him to repeat it twice as I wasn't able to believe how a premium looking restaurant doesn't have bowls to serve dishes like Dal to their customer, I had to call his superior and argue hard just to get bowls for our Dal.
Coming to the food, th food was decent, I liked the Bhindi Shingara dish and the Dal was average. However throughout our dining time, there was zero service provided to us, there was no one checking up on whether we need additional items or water etc. Even tissues or table cloth wasn't provided to us.
So overall it's a restaurant with decent food and ambience, but absolutely pathetic service and hospitality. Avoid it at all...
