Let's go step by step Ease of finding the place - Google maps directs you somewhere near, but you need to use the direction boards from there. They provide Valet parking though not necessary. First Impressions first. There are 2 options together - The Hoppery & Olive Bistro - You can goto either of them depending on your taste if no prior booking is done. We visited on a weekday when booking wasn't required. Olive Bistro is spacious and has both open space and enclosed space, whereas The Hoppery is a small enclosed place with neatly done interiors with high seats (uncomfortable sometimes) and with beer on tap facility, though same craft beer is available in both places. Interiors, Ambience and Environment - The Hoppery has got really good interiors with Warm coppery shaded lights. We visited on a night. Suggested place for a couple on a date night. (So romantic). Over your small commute from parking to the place, the place is covered with greenery with mountaneous terrain (Jubliee Hills :p) and path finder lights which go hand in hand to add to its beauty. And not to miss the glass bound beer fermentation tanks ( typical brewery style) Food & Drinks - Brewed beer is at its class with authentic tastes as they are named. We tried Wit as our major driver and tasted others. All are comparable with major breweries in India. You may try depending on your liking. Food is not great, but manageable. The quantity of food was very less, plan well before your order. Service and Hospitality - Service was very much professional. Not much wait time. Price - Little on higher side, but considering above facts, it's undoubtedly worth it. Should be manageable for occasional outings. Try to combine with deals from Zomato, Cred or dine out to save some bucks.
Summary - 5/5. It is definitely a must visit place in Hyderabad for a...
Read moreIt was my first visit to Hyderabad. I was excited to experience the craft beer scene here. Started off at The Hoppery - what a beautiful place! Lots of trees, indoor and outdoor seating, overlooking a lake, etc.. A place where I would love to come for a day long outing 😁. They had six beers on tap. Tasted the steam lager, Cinnamon ale, and the IPA. The menu said the lager has floral and citrus aromas with predominance of grapefruit, so just out of curiosity I got a taster. The aromas reminded me of sugarcane maybe some lemongrass. Unfortunately, I didn’t find it as flavourful as I had imagined. The cinnamon ale had loads of cinnamon on the nose and the pallet, but otherwise a sweet ale, wasn’t for me, so skipped it. The IPA was fantastic. Settled for a pint. Lovely tropical fruit aromas and flavours, medium body, and finished dry. With a few more places to cover, I thought of moving on, but then the Stout caught my attention. Asked for a sampler, and boy! What a delicious beer! I’m so glad that I tasted this. Got a pint to satisfy the cravings 😁. This had rich flavours of chocolate and coffee, and a fuller body and at 6.5 abv it got my nicely tipsy. I was tempted to get another pint, but hey I don’t drink so much and I had some more places to...
