Udipi’s Upahar Serilingampally — Restaurant in Hyderabad

FAKE UDIPI.. DONT Visit 🤮

We visited this Udupi upahar after a Pooja function as we were looking for a family place with veg options to take our guest out.. But this place is worse place to visit with family ,friends or anybody for that matter.. Using the tag name of Udipi Upahar this place fools people.. ‘Yeh jagah Udipi Upahar kehlaane k layak nahi hai’.. We visited their Family lounge AC as their staff told us is best for eating with family.. However the Family lounge doesn’t have any AC or air at all.. The staff had closed the door and all ventilation so as to fool new customers.. and this makes the place like a ‘HEAT CHAMBER’ and suffocating to breathe.. In food.. this was the first Udipi Upahar with no authentic South Indian dishes.. There is no Thali available (Neither north Thali.. Nor South Thali) .. There is No Dosa available to my surprise.. We ultimately ordered the leftover options as we didn’t want our guest to think bad of Udipi.. The baddest thing is the Staff behaviour here.. especially by Manager.. who upon complaining about above points said to us.. ‘THIS IS HOW WE SERVE OUR CUSTOMERS.. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT.. DONT GIVE SERVICE CHARGE.. AND DONT COME AGAIN’.. Very very unhappy with the arrogance showed by the staff..

The embarrassment faced infront of my family and guests have made me write this review.. I would highly highly recommend evryone NOT to visit this restaurant and have the worst...

I ordered food in zomato so many times. I have never experienced anything like this. So what happened is… I am traveling out of town and I ordered my food in Udipi’s Upahar Serilingampally branch. After ordering food I went to pack my things and I thought my food will arrive on time. The food got delayed. And it arrived when I am about to leave my home to catch my transport. I didn’t have time to eat the food I ordered. I didn’t receive any call from the restaurant or the zomato executive regarding my delayed food. I peeked into the packaging of the food though I don’t have time to eat it. That is the least expected thing from a food chain like Udipi’s Upahar. The Chocolate Ice Cream shake was not even packed in a plastic container rather it is delivered in Aluminium Silver foil pouch. And the dosa was not even in the plastic container. It was wrapped in a white paper. The cover which my food was delivered doesn’t have the restaurant’s logo. I was very upset and I tried to talk to zomato customer services to get my order’s refund. Literally 3-4 executives connected with me and the last person said that it was restaurant’s fault. We cannot do anything regarding this. You can write review in google about this. I went to Udipi Upahar restaurant on 26th Sep 2022. This is located quite close to Gulmohar park colony, before entering Nallagandla flyover. Location is quite perfect as it has many shops nearby it.

They have a stand n eat type of facility for Tiffins at G floor & a proper dining restaurant with all options at 1st floor.

Ordered Paneer Tikka, Veg Manchurian & Tandoori Roti. I must say all items were absolutely great. Tikka was juicy and spicy. Manchurian had right sauce!

The employees who takes order or serve looked quite naive or a little confused to this field but later I learned that the restaurant was just inaugurated today, being first day of Navaratri. Surely do understand that it will take few days to be normal.

Rates were quite okay. May be Paneer tikka cost could have been a little lesser in line with cost in Gachibowli store, but again here it is fine dining space!

Payment option was cash and UPI only which is okay considering it is just Day 1 :)

This is the same chain which has an established unit at Indira Nagar, Gachibowli.

On a lighter note, I wonder how you find a location just before a flyover starts 😅
