What happens when you order something at a respectable food establishment and you return it because it wasn't made according to your specifications? You return it and request for a replacement or a recommendation for something else. And a respectable food establishment graciously replaces the dish and/or offers another recommendation. That's exactly what we did yesterday at this cafe. The pizza was requested to be cooked with thin crust and it came looking like it didn't give a damn what the customer wants. After half a bite and a heart full of disappointment, when the pizza was sent back and other items were recommended in its place, we went to pay the bill. To our shock, the manager at the counter insisted that we pay for the pizza (which was uneaten and sent back). She was rude and adamant and kept us waiting for a long time as we requested she call the owner. Things took an even drastic turn when the owner arrived. Remember all the things you read about good customer service? The owner believes in not a single one of those principles. Within a span of 5-10 mins, he had dismissed our concerns, called us liars, and threatened to take us to the police station. We could see where the staff was getting their impeccable manners from. If your think our sense of judgement is biased, take a look at all the 1-2 star reviews spread across months saying the exact same thing about the owner and frontline staff. Sensing the argument going nowhere, we paid the bill in full along with the amount for the uneaten pizza. Some people are in need of money more than you'll ever be. So we considered it our act of charity and left with a bad taste in our mouth (pun fully intended). Remember future patrons who happen upon this post, the thing that makes a good cafe isn't the ambience decorated with cheap Chinese lights. Or the book filled shelves that folks pretend to read while they take an aesthetic photo. The heart and soul of any eating establishment will always remain the same - the food and the people. Sadly, this...
Read moreThe worst place i have visited in my Jaipur trip.. Food was so so..not so good not so bad..just ok..Very unprofessional behaviour of the lady who was billing..so much attitude and no respect for the customers. First we ordered on counter and when we was waiting on table a guy from staff confirmed they donât have one item available so we replace that with another one.. In that time girl came out and she judged we were ordering from our table without even asking us.. When we received our order kids wanted to repeat the one item..so we ask them to repeatâŠits only 2-3 steps ahead from the order counter where we were sitting then guy said âorder counter par hota haiâ on the behalf of that girl who have time to reply on comment but donât have guts to deal customers directly and politely..that was the point where we feel disrespectful and there was no policy mentioned about if anybody need to repeat an item they should go to counter again and againâŠthat girl without knowing the whole matter angrily staring us and gossiping with staff.. We donât know the taste of food until we get it.. but if the dealing is bad then food taste doesnât matter. I am also a Chef by profession but i have never seen such so called rules where we have to go to counter again and again just because of there own misunderstandings.
I think we should go through the other review which are same about the rudeness and stubbornness of the staff and they are blaming it on the customers..if someone is paying u good then you should learn how to serve customer with friendly service especially when they are with small kids else you should mention your so called rules on the door so that people like us not come inside to ruin their day. Even we often visit other countries and well known brand cafés like starbuck, Tim hortons, Nik baker etc.. they have staff who always polite and well behaved to the customers.
Anyways Will never ever...
Read moreI had the worst experience at this cafe, and I strongly urge everyone to think twice before visiting this place. We ordered a pizza, and to our surprise, it was excessively salty and completely inedible. We politely approached the staff to request a replacement, but things took an unexpected and unpleasant turn. The girl who claimed to be the manager was incredibly rude and lacked even the most basic sense of hospitality. Instead of addressing our concern professionally, she became defensive and stubborn, showing no empathy whatsoever. What made matters worse was the behavior of the owner, who was equally rude and unaccommodating. Rather than resolving the issue, they insisted that we pay for the pizza, even though we couldnât eat it. When we tried to reason with them, the owner went as far as to threaten us, saying, âIf you donât pay here, youâll have to pay at the police station.â Such aggressive and unprofessional behavior is completely unacceptable, especially in the hospitality industry. We felt humiliated and cornered due to their inability to handle feedback. This was not just about bad foodâit was about how poorly they treated us as customers. Hospitality should be about respect and making people feel welcome, but here, intimidation seems to be their approach. This experience was nothing short of a nightmare. I wouldnât recommend this cafĂ© to anyone. There are countless better options with great food and respectful service. Save yourself the time, money, and trouble, and avoid this place...
