Read moreThis popular café is located close to Amber Fort, and has seating both indoors and in a sunny verandah outside. We visited on a winter afternoon, so the verandah was appealing, while the interiors seemed a little closed and claustrophobic. Inside, the seating is a mishmash of styles, with ornate chairs and tables, framed pictures on the walls, and a largeish (for a restaurant) library of books. There are toilets, which are fairly clean, though a bit wet.
The menu at Kokum offers various types of cuisine, ranging from Mediterranean (including pizza and pasta), to sandwiches, wraps, dosas, uttapams, idlis, North Indian/Rajasthani dishes (including thalis), and much more: there’s pretty much something for everybody here. We ordered a bajre ki roti with onion/potato/paneer, served with bathue ka raita and garlic chutney; our daughter ordered a plain idli. Everythign was delicious, though the bajre ki roti (two thick, ghee-soaked rotis) were so rich and heavy, we had to give up our idea of having a dessert and ended up only ordering coffee.
