1135 AD is a promise when seen on pics and constructed reviews but is a different story in person. Its a sad story, left untouched and unimproved by owner -Mr. S Bali, when it comes to an overall dining experience for guests'. Pros: Location: as its placed on high ramparts of Jaleb Chowk of Amer Fort Decor : Well done in royal heritage style with princely paintings, Silver cutler, real artifacts, etc
Cons: Management : Most decrepit aspect of this restaurant. They do not have Landline Numbers on Zomato/ Social media. Hence only available Mobile Nos are mostly not picked up or one is pendulated by staff between its 2 offices (Civil Lines and Amer Fort). Restaurant Manager Mr Iqbal : i.He should be the 1st point to define a Moment of truth in service experience to new guests. But he doesn't take that pain. ii. Only time i could speak to him was on Jan 25th to make reservations. iii. But on our way to restaurant on Jan 26th, we kept calling him on his Mobile but he didnt answer a single Call. Even on Jan 25th he casually forgot to explain location, Access options, route, etc. Right from arrival till we left 1135 AD, we kept asking for him but he never came to meet us. Staff told us he was in restaurant office but he seldom meets anyone.
Access : i. Its high above in Amer Fort but this is not mentioned anywhere. ii. Hence it can be a big issue for Senior citizens, Impaired, People with vertigo and risky for kids whatever it will be the customer having problem with the location is the most disgusting thing in present era.
Service: Worst of all aspect of restaurant. i. Expect to be seated by self as no one would guide you. ii. Be prepared to keep asking for basic drinking water to food to napkins as nothing is served by waiting staff ( A common echo from reviews here and guests we met) iii. Guests are left sitting unattended in both Open Courtyard and inside Hall.
Professionalism: Staff is grossly untrained on courtesy & hospitality. They will argue about customers bill errors right in front of other guests. Even after a lot of onsite feedback about poor service, they appear Unfazed & unapologetic as if management assurance is there about non-performance & poor reviews will be ignored.
Overall a very poor experience and Definitely Not Worth Recommending to anyone. Better options with Royal ambience & set up around Jaipur.
Not sure if Mr S Bali really even cares about improving same !!
Being a person see the management things I hope they will improve the things at their own but please see the customer...
Read moreThe location seems to be a major disappointment, and it's so unfortunate that it didn't meet our expectations because we were really looking forward to it.
Driving outside the city for 30 minutes through narrow lanes which seem no less than haunted only to have a frustrating experience.
The access to the place is beyond reach if you are coming for dinner. Zero lights inside or outside the fort which makes it so difficult to walk up the steep slopes.Pitch dark and super scary environment when you walk down after dinner. No proper parking with an added risk of life because of the crowd around. So much inconvenience specially when you are with small kids. Absolutely not worth it. I would rate this place as a zero because it is highly overrated hopeless and can leave you really depressed with the kind of ambience around with nothing positive to be considered for.
The food is very average and too expensive and definitely not worth risking your life. No royal experience at all like they say. I would say it is below average. Serving in silverware or huge sofas doesn't define royalty. It is really far from that. Don't go by the pictures anywhere on social media. Because it's very misleading. They don't have any candlelight dinners. It is only for special events in the private hall. No wonder that area is really beautiful but i don't think you can risk your life to go up there just for a few pictures. Also, it is not even accessible for casual dinners.
You can easily find better dining experiences in the city than especially coming all the way to the fort.
I am thankful I came back alive after walking in the dark with two small kids thinking anybody could easily rob me or stab me. Never coming back. This place is definitely not...
Read moreThe experience at this restaurant has been the worst I have ever had in my life. I wish there was an option to give negative points. We chose this place on suggestion of our friends and we were reaching around 10:30 p.m. We called them and asked them if we could come so they agreed to it. When we reached we were impressed by the decor of the place. But it turned out that only decor was impressive while the service was pathetic. We ordered Tomato Shorba, Paneer Angare, and Shammi Kebab for the starters. While we were enjoying music, we were served the shorba. It was cold and the mini naans served with it were also cold. We asked them to serve us hot so they reheated the soup and served us. Till now, it was okay. Then they served us Paneer Angaare, which was again cold. We told the waiter (Mr. Vishal Singh) and he gave us a rude reply. Then he told us that he will reheat it and get it. So we told him to get the dish only if it is being freshly prepared. He told us that it can't be done and we realized that he had been serving us food which was already cooked. He refused to serve anything later and became very rude by the end. We asked for the manager and we were told by him that he is unavailable. We chose to leave that place immediately after paying for the soup.
We could see another person sitting there who was being attended by three or four waiters. Moreover he was being served fresh food. We could see the difference in their attitude.
I don't get this concept as we were not having their food without paying them. Anyone who visits a restaurant deserves the service for which he/she is paying. I would never recommend this...
