Yesterday, my cousin hosted a party and the experience was nothing short of disappointing. To begin with, the service was frustratingly slow, with significant delays in taking and serving the order.
The ambience is nice, and the washrooms are clean and hygienic. However, the staff’s behavior overshadowed any redeeming qualities. They were pathetically rude and lacked basic hospitality.
Coming to the food—it was decent. Neither extraordinary nor bad, just okay. The menu is fairly priced and offers good variety, but it doesn’t make up for the subpar experience.
The restaurant has both an open rooftop and a covered area; we initially sat in the covered section. However, when some family members wanted to briefly visit the rooftop to enjoy the DJ and ambiance, we were met with absurd restrictions.
The staff informed us that children weren’t allowed on the rooftop, which is understandable. But what came next was outright ridiculous—they claimed that people over 50 years of age were also not permitted on the rooftop and insisted on checking IDs. Such a policy, if true, is both illogical and discriminatory.
Adding to the unpleasant experience, the staff’s behavior was unprofessional and rude. They lacked basic courtesy and appeared clueless about their own menu, making it difficult to place an order or clarify options.
Overall, this was an incredibly disappointing visit. Poor service, nonsensical policies, and untrained staff made it an experience I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Definitely not worth visiting.
For those planning to visit, I recommend checking out their offers on Swiggy or Zomato, as they do have significant discounts. However, despite the clean space and decent food, I wouldn’t visit this place again. The rude staff, nonsensical policies, and overall below-par experience make it far from...

Dear Owner
I hope this message finds you well.
I’m writing to bring to your attention a very disappointing experience we had during our recent visit to Retreat, despite having made a reservation in advance.
We had called ahead and booked a table for one couple and one male guest. However, upon arrival, we were asked to wait before being allowed to the rooftop. We waited patiently for almost two hours, but were never given the chance to be seated upstairs.
To our surprise, several other guests who arrived after us were immediately taken to the rooftop. Most of them appeared to be either couples, families, or groups including a female guest. This led us to feel that we were being unfairly treated or discriminated against based on the composition of our group.
When we raised our concern with the manager, we were repeatedly told that we should have called in advance—which we had already done. This response felt dismissive and unhelpful, especially considering we followed the correct process.
As regular visitors who truly appreciate the ambiance and concept of Retreat, this experience was extremely disheartening. We genuinely felt unwelcome and undervalued as guests.
I kindly request that you look into this matter seriously. No guest should feel excluded or compared based on who they visit with. Your attention and fair resolution of such issues will go a long way in maintaining the positive reputation of Retreat.
Thank you for your time and...
Read moreThe behaviour of the person looking after the reservations at front desk was extremely rude and unwelcoming. Firstly, this happened over a call for booking a table and secondly, at the entrance of the restaurant. We booked a table for four people upstairs and we’re told to wait for 10-15 minutes due to unavailability of the table upstairs. We waited for about half an hour and we’re seeing the continuous movement of people coming downstairs and going upstairs, which meant that the tables were obviously available upstairs. We asked the person to provide us a table too, for which he replied in a very impolite tone that “aapko reservation table dene ka tha, neeche diya na aapko table, upar ki koi guarantee nahi hai.” Anyway, we went upstart to check if any table was available. There were were two tables available for 4 people and we saw that the people who were below our reservation list had already got the tables. Luckily, the person upstairs gave us a table and we enjoyed our meals. But it is pertinent to mention that the ambiance and vibes might be good at Retreat, but the communication, behaviour and basic etiquettes of the person at front desk...
